Description
FACTION SHIP TYPES FOR THE HEROES

If you think the original hero ships are too small, this modification might be the solution ...

With this mod, the heroes of the major factions uses the medium-sized ships instead of the white/red nutshells.

The heroes of the minor factions receive the medium ship designs of the pirates and minor factions.

Besides this the quest bound heroes of the United Empire uses following ship types:
Hadri Lenko
UE ship class medium Attacker

Lena Zelevas
UE ship class medium Supporter

Petra Mandzukic
UE ship class medium Explorer


The other QUEST heroes:
Sophons Mavro hero Krak "Cubed" Bleis uses a Sophons ship class medium Attacker

Horatio hero "Five" uses a Horatio ship class medium Attacker

Endless hero "Reyaryn Cious" uses a Cravers ship class medium Attacker

Endless hero "Tiaych Zhilleaq" uses an advanced minor faction ship class medium Defender

Rhync Raggiodri, a.k.a. The Photobomber uses an improved version of the classic Drop hero ship class.

Fluffpetal Gurk'Zvar uses the Bloody Hellhound, a deadly armed Pillager MkII class ship.
Be warned when hunting the Pirate Leader and be prepared for a tough fight with his large and fast rogue fleet!

The Survivor (ESG Mod Vodyani hero) uses a Vodyani medium size ship.


NOTE
The new hero ship classes have a slightly improved core structure to match their HERO ship status.
And remember that the heroes of the opposing empires (human/AI) also use these hero ships!


IMPORTANT
This mod greatly enhances the ship designs of the pirates and minor factions.
Also the ships that are gained through purchase, explorations or quests are affected.
Thus, the pirates again represents a greater threat, especially at higher game difficulty levels.
Their original design was just too lax.
Keep an eye on your exploration ships.

COMPATIBILITY
Since this mod alters the files HeroDefinitions.xml, ShipDesignDefinitions(MinorFactions) and BattleActionDefinitions.xml, it will come to conflict with mods, which also change these files!

If you use other mods (like ESG) that also alters the files mentioned above,
put the FACTION HEROES SHIPS mod LAST in the loading order to ensure that the correct game mechanics changes are made.
The changes in the Droplists.xml file can be safely overwritten if necessary. The resulting events are then those of the base game.

This mod should be compatible with other HERO mods, if these mods ONLY define the variables of the new hero(es) in the file "HeroDefinitions".
Of course, these new heroes will then use the original little red/white vessels.



Due to its structure, this mod should always be functional, even if it is not up to date.

@MrShadow: Nope. So, for example, a sensible arrangement next to each other at the top/bottom/edge of the screen is unfortunately not possible ...

okay so then cant the 2 lower module slots that hang off the bottom of the screen be re-positioned or removed altogether?

@MrShadow: The problem is that the "extra" modules were no planned in the original game and their correct "placement" is therefore inadequate. As is the case with too many cars in a small parking lot ...

Not sure if this has been pointed out but there is an issue where the ships in the mod have 2 module slots that are too far down on the bottom of the screen and you can barely see them

I wanted to leave everyting as it is in vanilla. So basic hero ships stats, but different skin. Even if modules would be randomly placed on the bigger ship modell at design screen.

HI. Is there an option to use only the skins, but no extra slots? I dont really like to start with a ship full of everything already.
