Variation Pack Reborn V2

Description
Wes þú hál!

Variation Pack Reborn new, improved and oh so varied. I'm confident you won't find a more authentic depiction of Dark Age warriors anywhere else, come get them while they're hot.

Each faction has been heavily modified and there's no more horrendous three colour matching uniforms.
Migration period helmets, while beautifully rendered, are completely gone - by the time of the game's setting, there had been a wide shift towards nasal style helmets and, as with any good military technology, their use was probably ubiquitous.
Saxons still use Coppergate derivatives however, and the Scandinavians have their famous spectacle helmets - these add a bit of flavour and the historical examples found are dated close enough to the time period that it's likely they'd still be in use.
The Celtic factions, particularly the Welsh, make use of late Roman style ridge and spangenhelms for their early units, reflecting their place as essentially the inheritors of the Roman Empire prior to the Saxon conquest. Their later units are equipped with coifs and nasal helms though, as would be expected for the time. In keeping with history, the use of helmets and mail is greatly reduced for the Celtic factions however.
Mail is a premium, expect only your best (and richest) warriors to be wearing it. Historically, the cost in both coin and time would've heavily limited the use of mail to only those able to afford it (or win it as a trophy in battle). For this reason, expect to see a lot of padded armour (or none).

Tier 3 units are designed to represent the era of Hastings - expect coifs, kite shields, one piece nasal helmets and much wider use of mail across the factions.

This pack wouldn't be possible without the fantastic work of modders across all the Total War games. All I've done is assemble what I believe is the best combination of assets and bring them all together in a historically authentic and visually pleasing way.
The Conquest: 1066 mod for Attila, created by Linke and inherited by Athos187 formed the inspiration and basis for this pack. I have no idea how many individual modders are behind all the fantastic assets and ports over to the TW engine, but if you see your work included, please give me a heads up and I'll credit you appropriately.
Fall Of The Eagles for Attila - Meloncat, Win Butler, Dresden, 1stEPIGunny, Aurelinus and anyone else who has contributed to that mod, again, if you see your work in this pack lemme know and I'll whack you in the credits.
Shieldwall mod for Thrones - Kinjo, DrunkFlamingo, AmericanCaesar, Johnny, Hrobatos, Baldy, nik000, Zoktor Doidberg, Sinulf, Ragnarr and ThePoshBarbarian.

This, as ever, is a work in progress. I'm open to suggestions moving forward and please let me know if you find any bugs.

Cheers.

Good day. I find this mod mostly enjoyable and authentic except for one thing
Namely that some Norman helmets seem to be anachronistic with it's full-face protection seems to be more at place with the Crusades rather than the Norman Conquest.
The helmet in question:

Hopefully if you update this you will remove this anachronism if you're willing to look at it.
Have a good day

Love this mod. The only minor note of criticism I have would be the removal of a lot of helmet variation. Having every helmet be a nasal helmet gets kinda boring to look at after a while. Maybe you could leave those older helmet styles in for an occassional appearance (maybe only for officers and generals, to represent heirloom pieces). Historically it can be easily justified as well, since information on what helmets people actually wore during this time period is incredibly scarce. Especially for cultures like the Norse, Gaels and Britons. There are few written and pictorial sources, and helmets are only incredibly rarely found as archaeological artefacts (probably since they were passed from generation to generation, therefore never being thrown away and entering the archaeological record).

I hope you can increase the helmet variation a bit. Apart from that this mod is near-perfect. Great work!
