Starting
After you have covered the desert in snow, head north a little until you see the black portal and interact to be taken to the nightmare. You'll wake up inside a dark, slightly twisted version of Howard's house.

This very first puzzle is very easy as it'll demonstrate what your goal is throughout this nightmare- to uncover these red switches which are connected to a power supply, and interact with them to open a corresponding door. Flip the switch on the wall and Howard's bedroom door will open, allowing you to roam the house.

Once you exit the bedroom, you'll hear the phone ringing, signalling where the next puzzle will take place. If you're alert, you may notice something freaky happen in the corridor when you open the door. ;)

But before this next puzzle, I suggest you check out the bathroom! It's eerie. :)
Living Room
Upon arriving at the living room, the lights will switch off, the music box will start playing and you'll be locked inside. Interact with the phone to hear an eerie message. Once it is finished, interact again so Howard can reply to this stranger.

Now to escape this room! Head over to the music box and you'll notice three black dials. Interact with the first and the third to open the box and reveal the switch. Interact with the switch to open the door.

Back in the hall, you'll notice that to your left, two other doors are open, so check them out but no puzzles are in there. Head back upstairs for the next puzzle!
Study/Bedroom
This was my favourite puzzle and probably took me the longest. Notice that both of these doors have a book on front, showing that they're linked.

Head inside the one on the right to see what the puzzle is- on the nightstand is a suitcase with a combination which you must find. Take note of the book beside the suitcase, as it’s a hint! The next paragraph will tell you how to solve this puzzle.

Head into the other door and you’ll find yourself in the study. There are three books that you should interact with (all titled ‘More Than The Stars’). One is on a small table beside the rocking chair, the other is on the desk beside the computer and the last one is on a small stand in the bookshelves. Now, remember the book that was beside the suitcase? To the left of ‘More Than The Stars’ on the bookshelf, you’ll find an exact copy! Interact with it.

Once you’re done checking out the scrawls around the room, you’ll notice that the UV light has revealed a number on each of the books that you opened. Use the combination ‘836’ on the suitcase and click the gold locks to open it, revealing another switch! Interact with it to open the next room- the attic!
Attic
Once you leave the bedroom with the suitcase, turn right and you’ll see a drawn pen on the wall, beside a notch. Interact with the notch to lower the stairs to the attic and proceed.

Now, this part REALLY freaked me out! I won’t spoil, but hopefully you’ll see, because I didn’t notice the first time!

At the end of the trail, you’ll find the switch. Interact with it. The last door in the sequence has TWO locks- this switch has opened one.

If you're having trouble figuring out how to unlock the second, take note of the drawing on the door. A quill and ink pot. The attic switch had a quill beside it, so where is the ink pot?

Answer is below.

Return to Howard’s room and interact with the switch that you used in the beginning to unlock the final door.
End
Head downstairs and to the right, you’ll see a door with two locks on it and a quill and ink pot drawn in the middle. Open it, interact with the phone and have a look around while the message plays. Looking down, you’ll see a trap door. Open it and interact with the portal to leave the nightmare.
Author's Notes
Hi there,

It’s been a pleasure playing this game and I had a blast writing up this guide! It’s the first one I’ve ever written and I’ll be sure to tidy it up. I hope you’ve had as much fun as I have and thanks for reading!

Hey! So sorry for the late reply. As far as I remember, there's no boo or loud sounds, but you may catch something in the attic which spooked me at night!

Thanks for this. The click options for the controls on the music box have such a short range that I didn't catch them until I read this...
