This is a brief description on what choices and factors lead to the ending of Grimm's Hollow.
This guide is intended as a last resort for players who wish to find all of the ending content.
Please avoid looking at this guide until you have reached at least one ending of the game.

Introduction

The factors which determine the endings are:

Whether or not Lavender's spirit is complete
Whether or not the final battle of the game is won

Completing Lavender's spirit

This is achieved by learning and improving all of the abilities in Lavender's spirit, as well as maxing out all of her attributes. The game will give you a message telling you when this has been achieved.

The ordering of the endings below is simply for organisation purposes, and it is up to the player to determine what ending order they would like to go for.

Ending 1

This ending is achieved when:

Losing the final battle of the game
Lavender's spirit is incomplete.

Ending 2

This ending is reached when the following conditions are met:

Losing the final battle of the game.
Lavender's spirit is complete.

Ending 3

This ending is reached when the following conditions are met:

Winning the final battle of the game.
Lavender's spirit is incomplete.

Ending 4

This ending is reached when the following conditions are met:

Winning the final battle of the game.
Lavender's spirit is complete.

Yeah it's weird, with the FPS counter on, everything runs at 60FPS, except in the Evade-attacks it drops to 1-5 FPS. It's a mac issue sure but you'd expect the entire game to be broken at that point.

I only got ending 1 because the evade system was totally broken on my emulator and I'm annoyed by that right now so I'll just headcanon that the brother's spirit moves on and Lavender stays in the spirit world hanging out with the others for a bit longer. Other than that I liked the game, maybe I'll check out if the Steam version works better later, yes I really did come here just to say all that.

Thank you for this! (I got ending 3 first, and thought I might have to go back and choose different dialogue choices to try for different ones, and wasn't sure where to start. . .) I also appreciate there's no spoilers but it still lets me find all the endings. ♡

I think I got ending 1 first, didn't realise that the ghosts re-spawned after a awhile and was going to try again with a full health bar. Then proceeded to grind until I got all the Perks, bought a bunch of chocolate cake and didn't even need to use it during the final battle.

This game is awesome and well worth the play, kind of short but that was a good thing for my short attention span.

Well done creator, would love to see more of this combat style in other games and the story was on point.

I got ending 3 first, the final battle was very long with incomplete spirit compared to complete lol, it was a mistake to buy stuff from the baker wth my SE, I finished the game with my inventory filled with consumables of all kind

I beat the game with the worst ending then immediately grinded to have a complete soul and made sure not to have like a fifth of my max HP at the start of it. Also I use Mork to make it so I could spam violet flame.
