hello Sniper, the Blueprint does not have traditional subgrids. the Wheels are technicaly a subgrid. other than that it should be easy to build. Check out the Gaius Ranger for a more up to date version.

Just wondering, what on the vehicle requires multigrids? having to work around not using them and i dont wanna tear into it without some prior knowledge.

I did have a look at the Marathon, but that is much too large for what I had in mind. To me that seems like an endgame vehicle, rather than something to get you settled.

Hello Kaito, thank you for sharing your idea. I have a mobile exploration base in my Bleuprints. Its calles the Marathon https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1913870563 . maybe thats a bit to big for what you where suggesting but it hase everything you need to survive and build.
Maybe i will look into the hole Rover becoming permamently stationary idea in the future.
Maybe until then check out the marathon and let me know your thoughts :)

So far my only problem is that it's too nice of a rover to disassemble and build my starter base with it. I've decided to keep it intact and build my base by processing stone.

Which brings me to my next point. I've been thinking about working on a large grid starter rover. Something designed specifically to land, drive somewhere decent (but not _too_ far) and then be rebuilt into the base itself. Maybe even be able to "settle" down from the wheels and become a station.

Have you ever worked on something like that?

Awesome. hope you have fun

Funny you say that, I literally just modified the Gaius as my new starter vehicle.

A slightly updated version of this would be great as a respawn ship mod.
