Finally I found a fix for the space bar not working in the game. The problem is tied to the framerate being too high (1000+ fps for me). So we just enable v-sync to limit the framerate. I tried to do this in the AMD Radeon driver, but the Unity Engine seems to ignore settings made there. I don't know if this is different for NVIDIA users.
So instead, we change it for the game itself:

- open regedit (press windows key and type in regedit)
- go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Joystic Knights\Catgirl Magic
- double click on UnityGraphicsQuality_h1669003810 and change the value from 0 to 5

Now the game should run at normal speed and be able to see you pressing space. Your PC should also heat up less and save power.

Nice Fix, tried this, and it worked right away, I wonder if All unity games might do this.
