Description
This is a very similar start condition to that which I'm enjoying in the new single player series of the same name. I've started you in a slightly different part of the world so that you can enjoy exploring without getting advanced knowledge if you're watching along with my progress.

This start is very difficult, if you aren't mindful of what you have in the damaged pod you start with, you will die and often. You will not spawn with new tools so protect the ones that you find at the start. There are hostile NPC mods active from the beginning, so take this into account with what you try to build first.

This is not a scenario for new players, if you're still figuring things out I suspect this will be more frustrating than fun.

Good luck, you're probably going to need it.



For reasons of my own, I won't be giving guidance on how to survive this scenario beyond what you see in my series, but if you run into bugs or issues of that nature please let me know.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what mod Splisie uses for the "more visible tracers" in this series? I don't see it in the mod list, so I'm wondering if it's part of another mod or if it's a file/texture replacement that would be outside the scope of a Workshop mod.

Splitsie kindly helped on Reddit. I just needed more turbines so they met the minimum energy demand.

I've noticed the basic refinery returns very little metal compared to the survival unit. Thematically this makes sense, but is the same also true of the refinery?

Are you sure the turbines are ZERO power? There is a known bug that if you don't have ANY other power source on your grid (including battery) then wind turbines will only give 1KW. If you want to make your first battery you will need to jump start the grid with solar during the day, but once you have a battery on the grid it should be fixed even at night.

If you want to un-nerf the turbines, you can change the wind speed of the planet, then reload your game.

Yup it's ten blocks high. I can't build a battery because that requires a basic assembler which I can't power because the wind turbine doesn't work. Going to see if solar panels work but if they're broken too I'm guessing the mod is broken

Did you try building them up high and lots of them? And do they still produce no power if you have a battery?

Can wind turbines be removed from the blueprint options? They don't work. Produce zero power whatever I do

I'm a little bummed. I have been playing this scenario and there was some kind of reset that reset all defaults. I have no clue what the setups were so I don't know what to reset.

Are you sure you can't make parachutes? I haven't played this modpack in a while but I know when I did, I had parachutes to save fuel.
