Description
COMMENTS HELP ME IMPROVE MY DESIGNS. IF YOU FIND SOMETHING WRONG LET ME KNOW, I MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX IT.
LIKE SOMETHING I BUILT? CONSIDER FOLLOWING SO YOU GET NOTIFIED WHEN I UPLOAD SOMETHING NEW.

My version of the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck or HEMTT, upgraded for Alpha 11.
Instead of building 12 different versions like last time, this time I am building a set of vehicles that can be docked together and combined in different ways. The set will include the HEMTT, Humvee and an all new Sky Crane to transport a variety of container and trailer style vessels.

Features;
Transports Container style hover vessels on its deck
Tows Trailer style hover vessels from rear tow point
Toggleable High Beam Headlights, as well as the left and right Turn Signals
Hardened Steel Outer Hull
CPU Level 2, 100% efficiency
Minigun Turret
Airtight Cabin
Seating for Driver
Cloning Chamber
Fridges
Oxygen Station
Detector
Wireless Connection

Upgradeability:
The vessel is only just inside the 100% limit for a tier 2 CPU, but the compartment behind the cabin has room for two tier 3 CPU upgrades as well as a pentaxium tank and a shield generator. Once the CPU is upgraded I also recommend upgrading the medium thrusters (located inside the wheels) to tier 2 for more power when hauling heavy loads, or replacing the minigun with a missile launcher for improved defence.

Other Vessels In This Series:

There are at least 4 more in this series, but I'm not uploading any more until the weird bugs with HVs that arrived in the last update get fixed.
Yep, the update that came out on friday the 13th was unlucky... lol

You're certainly making good use of the new docking rules. Well done!

Thanks Siege, hopefully I'll be uploading more of them every day or two, Sky Crane will be up next

Big thumbs up for this entire set of vehicles!

Proton is more convenient for Steam games, otherwise I normally just use Wine. I've tried a few games on both and couldn't see any difference in performance. Proton does set up some games for you but for Emperion I had to build a workaround to get it to launch the Emperion.exe instead of the game's standard launcher.

Actually for amd it's easy because the open source driver for it works better than the proprietary considering they handed over the code for open. So no need to install fglrx. Haven't messed with Proton myself yet, sounds interesting.

@El Perezidente I'm running it through Steam Play/Proton (which is just Wine with a Valve logo slapped on it). Getting the right gfx drivers was surprisingly easy, especially since I have an AMD card and they're supposedly tricky on Linux.

I like the train concept. Assuming your Linux adventures were based on using wine? Make sure you also have the proprietary gfx driver and not just nouveau. For deb/ubuntu that would be #apt install nvidia-current.

This set of vessels mark the end of an era, they are the last I designed under windows. My C drive died recently, taking my trusty old windows 7 install with it. Fortunately I had Empyrion installed on another drive so I didn't loose any of my creations. I am now running Linux, a system this game is NOT designed for. It was quite a challenge to get the game going and uploading to the workshop properly. But everything is running smoothly now and I plan to keep making more designs in the future, probably with a Linux Penguin hidden here and there lol
