"Map Size: 100x300 (using FSM tilesets for RPG Maker 2K/2K3).

This is the BIGGEST map that I've ever created in RPG Maker. It took so long time to make it, mainly because of the size (of course), and the way I worked on it, – I spent only 15~20 minutes per day, but in total I probably worked over 25 hours to finish it.

I made this map so huge for 3 reasons:
1) I was curious to know if I could be able to do something with that proportions. So, yes, it was personal challege that I made to myself. It was really hard to conclude, but in the end I'm really satisfied with it, since I learned a lot of new mapping skills.
2) I wanted to do something related to the cosmic horror. It's known that one of the essence of this kind of genre is to make the person who is consuming it feel terrorized with the... unknown! So the core idea here was to create a place so big with a lot of mysteries, hidden secrets and places. Also, the other idea was to make the player feel totally lost, weak and small in a sea of sand and mountains.
3) To simply challenge the players.

PS¹: Despite the map size, the gameplay runs nice without any lag (at least now lol).
PS²: My main inspiration for the level design was a H.P. Lovecraft story entitled "The Nameless City".

Thanks if you read till here and soon I'll try to bring more updates from my game."

They are deep holes in the sand. And I used only chipset from FSM, no parallax mapping. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Interesting! What are the purple parts? Is that transparent for parallax?
