It was actually the building in question, but I think its an issue in general with the game. I managed to solve it by either, bulldozing the plans, or by making sure to the tower completes before the connecting conveyors do.
Idk the reason, but apparently the crash was cause by the input connecting conveyor being complete first than the tower (because the tower needed the road to finish still).

Anyway, one of those pictures you linked, there is a tower a single in-out connection, is that vanilla, or another pack of yours?

alright, for some reason, I'm getting a crash while trying to construct this guy, I dunno why, the conveyors get built first, nothing even touched it yet, but deleting it gets rid of the crash
