Mini FPS Booster

Beskrivning
This is a mini fps booster which increases the frame rate in-game by 5-15%. It works by reducing the number of raycast calculations the game does to work out where the mouse is.


You won't loose anything. It doesn't break anything and can be unsubscribed at any time.

This is a side-project from a larger, much more powerful fps booster that's being developed, to whet your appetite :)

You'll see best results in the free camera or first person camera where it ramps up a gear if there's no UI on the screen.

It's been tested with about 120 mods so far, most of the popular ones, and we've not found any problems yet. If you spot a problem, please let us know!

Huge thanks to Egi who discovered that a lot of frame rate was being lost to the game UI system.

thank you! I still can't understand why my game takes so long to respond to buildings or moving anything. but it's clearly not about your wonderful mods....

@one tap the main mod (FPS Booster) includes what was added in Mini. It sounds more like FPS Booster doesn't work at all for you. Not sure what issues with simulation you have but if nothing happens when you start it and/or cannot click on things after loading the savegame, are 2 problems caused by Node controller, not fps booster or mini version.
Solution is usually simple: you have to wait, because the game is still processing things requested by Node controller mod on load(usually it takes few seconds but can take few minutes).

I found out that this mini version has a broader effect on the unity engine, and optimizes only what the user sees, this greatly reduces the load on the engine, thereby building and dragging are fast. My question was why are these two different mods? I found out that this mini version can cause problems with the simulation. So I will try it and tell you a little later if it helps.

@one tap What is "TD", what "disabliong object processing" means and what you mean by "the main mod"?

Why are features like stopping the simulation, disabling object processing, and TD not in the main mod? I switched to a newer PC and my unity just can't handle the load. So I'll remove fps Booster and I'll try this version.

I still use this mod because i play on GFN. saddly can't reopen the game without lossing the session.

@DeluxeHITMAN6301 doesn't need an update, there was no change in the game code where the mod applies changes. Mentioned FPS Booster is the continuation, if you use that, then you don't need this mod because it's already included there.
