A vanilla-aesthetic rocket.
⨴ This rocket is NOT iceproof. Turn off the ice layer if you are going to go high.
⨴ This rocket is difficult to fly - you need to get the pitch angle more or less perfect just after launch due to the body being made entirely from propellers, and roll is controlled via a janky reaction wheel. If you have Air Density Mod, this is less of an issue when you get to high altitudes, but you will still need to babysit this rocket all the way up.
⨴ You may need the launch escape system quite a bit...

The Resound was Valfross' first orbital vehicle, developed from Tolbrynd's Sound2 ballistic missile some time after the end of the Polar War. Notable payloads include the first people in orbit (aboard Spirit crew capsules) and the first native communications satellites (the first few of which didn't last long before being captured by Empire spacecraft).

The rocket is capable of delivering just over two tons to low orbit. Both stages run on hypergolic fuels (nitrogen tetroxide and unsymmetric dimethyl hydrazine). Like the Sound2, it is designed to launch from a silo or a mobile launcher.

This rocket started life as a sounding rocket (hence the name) for a small experiment involving balloons.

I have devised a method for timed constant thrust, which uses two negative water cannons facing in opposite directions and heats one of them using a rocket. Once the rocket runs out, the net thrust is zero; unlike the rocket, it doesn't have a top speed and will accelerate as long as the rocket is burning.

One of the design constraints for this vehicle was not using scaling. The result is a capable rocket with a distinct Besiege aesthetic.
(I will not be building another vehicle like it due to how frustrating it is to work on rockets without scaling.)

           My toolbox. Contains useful stuff.

Supposedly, reminding people to press the like button actually works.

The way it breaks down really looks like an authentic multistage rocket - not an easy feat without scaling! :steamhappy:
