Bonus Mission - Springfield (an ode to the "Simpsons")

Originally Springfield appears in Fallout Tactics only if you have the 4th bonus CD or installed a patch.
It's a pretty common mission but it has a new drivable vehicle the Buggy.

Find the file "bos.cfg" in the game's core directory.
Default location is C:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout Tactics\core.
The file is created the first time you start the game, so if you don't see it just start the game and exit to create it.

Open it using Notepad and find the line:
{misc.bonusMission} = {false}
Simply change {false} to {true} and save the file.

IMPORTANT!
The value must be set to "true" when you speak to General to get the Mardin mission (2nd Bunker)!!!
If you already arrived in Bunker Gamma(3rd Bunker), you are no longer able to access this mission as General Barnaky disappears from Bunker Beta!

springfield massachusetts? because springfield oregon is where the simpsons is from, and massachusetts is where the springfield rifle is from

I know this guide is old, but it still applies...I was already at bunker Gamma when I activated the file... I went to General Dekker to get my St. Louis quest (where Barnaky is captured), and noticed that Dekker also offers the Springfield mission as well... So this guide isn't exactly accurate when it says " If you already arrived in Bunker Gamma(3rd Bunker), you are no longer able to access this mission as General Barnaky disappears from Bunker Beta!".... Gen. Dekker will give the quest after Baraky is gone... Happy Gaming

That is hardly a tip of the hat towards the Simpsons.
More a tip of the hat towards the legendary Springfield rifle.
