Description
Welcome one and all to Fortress Island, an isolated island about a hundred miles off the coast of The Empire. This small floating chunk of grass covered rock was found originally by some Ipsilon fishermen who sold it to an Imperial civilian group dedicated to recreational combat with some cheaply made war machines based on images of vehicles found on the internet pulled through the rift.

After almost a years worth of renovation they have managed to turn the island into a World War II era German fortress covered with guns, bunkers, and anti-naval turrets. Luckily this island isn't really in a good tactical location meaning our military has little intrest in it... However the anti-naval guns are fully functional in the event It becomes tactical... They even have AA guns taking shots at armored blimps to add to the immersion.

Their layout made to the location favors heavy vehicles, mostly consisting of several corridors and multiple choke points along with an abundance of artillery safe cover and some absolutely brutal hull down locations. This map is very punishing for lightly armored vehicles thanks to few directions of surprise and lack of maneuvering room...

So, the final release coincides with the collection of budget grade combat tanks. This is a 2v2 map, set up to look scenic, be low object count, and offer some very entertaining times with friends. It also offers some interesting mechanics such as...

Reload logic.

Functions off of the NumPad 0 Key with infinite ammo turned off. The individual vehicle's gun will be reloaded shortly after firing, which makes for much more interesting gameplay than cannon spam.

Normal - 5 second reload
The standard reload, will also be selected by default if the vehicle's gun is fired.

Autoloader - 3 round drum, 2.5 interclip reload, 25 second total reload
Intended for higher caliber weapons, hurts but after 3 shots thats 25 seconds of opportunity for the enemy.

Low Caliber - 3 second reload
For low caliber weapons only, added to allow tanks with weaker guns to compete.

Note that once a reload type is selected it cannot be changed during the match.

Cap Circles

Each base is set up to give the opposing team 1 point per second when capping, and can only be stopped by killing an enemy, if a vehicle dies the base cap will be locked until they respawn... It doesn't matter where they die. Victory is given to the first team to take 100 points.

Points cannot be lost or reset.

Soft Cover

The map also has an assortment of bushes littered everywhere, because nametags are disabled if the map is put into playlist mode these bushes can be thoroughly abused.

The first bush type is this wall like bush, they are often large enough to fully conceal a vehicle from a specific direction... They however have physics enabled and moving objects hiding inside them will cause the bush to give off a subtle particle effect. Long barreled vehicles benefit most as their scopes can see through them.

The second bush type is this large spread out shrub. While useless to conceal a larger vehicle they can often fully hide smaller tanks. When abusing one of these bushes with a correctly sized machine it is entirely possible for your enemy to just drive past. Perfect for ambushes or sneaking past for a b*tch cap.

Spawn Camp Prevention

There is also an anti spawn camping mechanism, due to the turret bunker hull down spots that overlook the caps. If an enemy vehicle is occupying this location the team's spawns it overlooks will be relocated.

Well what are you waiting for? Go grab a couple of friends, a few budget tanks, and beat the sh*t out of each other while having a good laugh at one another's expense. Bonus points for pushing them off a cliff or sniping them from across the map with a sh*tbarn.

This Map is part of The Empire's Advent Event for the 2019 Christmas season. One of twenty workshop items unveiled daily through the 6th to the 25th. Remember to stop in daily to see what unholy war machine our engineers have for you to take home for the whole village to enjoy~

The Empire's engineers are not responsible for cancers, substantial fines, loss of citizenship, Tolbrynd spies, declaration of wars, death or dismemberment caused by this device. Results may vary.

@KUBI Click on your build box with the Wrench tool, Go into the logic and scroll down until you find "On key pressed" With 9 small squares and a 0 for its input key. You can change that to whatever key input you want and it will work.
