Extra big wardrobe storage.

Sheds are my go-to storage solution so I will shift them and decorate them as much as possible. They go extremely well with the wardrobe, creating a stylish closet space. Extrude the shed a bit more for a walk-in closet.
Vertically placed pillars as railings.

For example, for the above bridge, I rotated the wooden pillars (alternating left and right so they align properly), painted them with a Stone Paint Brush and offset them with Stone Display Stands.
Outhouse makes for a good poop shed.

I put a shed over my outhouse, built 4 walls and a roof over it and hid a compost bin in there for good measure. The result is a big poop shed to fertilizer in.
Shelves and chests for storage.

I organised all my produce and other storage on two of these tables. The chests are easily accessible as well. Behind the shelves are some painted walls, pillars and stone display stands to "fix" the broken-looking original outer wall.
Use your barn as storage.

I closed my barn with some walls and left a doorway to access my sheds. The front bit of the barn became my apiary area, the backside a shed with spare animals that I'm hoarding. What else will you do with this much open space?
Ladders save lives (and time).

This is a pretty straight-forward and simple tip but: add ladders to places you need to take the long way around for regularly. Grabbing the above chest, for instance, has been a pet peeve of mine. I had to go the whole way around all the way to Frank's and back, but thanks to this super simple ladder... hop, hop, and done.
Free your chickens.

Adding extra coops is all find and dandy, but it keeps your chickens locked up in that tiny area. Free them by shifting their habitat halfway into the ground, hiding the fence and effective freeing them to wander around the rest of your coop. You're welcome, chickies.
Hide your delivery crates.

I *really* didn't like the chests lining up on my front lawn, so I hid them underneath some stones and
hedges. They're still accessible, just less ugly. (I really like hiding storages. I think I have a problem.)
Campsites.

I have plopped down this setup in multiple places in my world, for when I am taming animals in that area, need to have a quick nap or just want to wake up close to the addictive summer games.
Stop trees / bushes from regrowing.

Have that one tree you always run into? That one bush obstructing your perfect view? No matter how often you cut it, it keeps growing back. Ugh, annoying! But fear not, this simply trick will stop it from growing back! Chop it down, bury an item in its place et voilà, that spot will be barren for eternity. Any object will do, so whichever thing you have laying around and / or is cheap to craft does the trick.
Display cases rotated are wall displays.

Want to display some items but don't feel like cluttering your room with display stands? Then rotating them and shoving them into your walls may be the perfect solution for you! Only downside: once they're in the walls, you can't access their inventory anymore, until you shift them back out.
Drinking throughs for your animals.

With a little bit of imagination and some clever positioning, the Heverli Hot Tub makes for a makeshift animal drinking through.

A similar case can be made for the bathtub, which even comes with baby ducks bathing, for that extra immersion.

Hi Hellhound Omega, sorry to hear that, that's really weird. The trick works for me.
Can you try burying the platform when the tree is there and only JUST put it under the ground? If you bury it too deep, it's probably under the tree.

I'm so happy to found your guide bc I've been having this one tree in my yard that just never goes away. However, I tried your trick and it KEEPS COMING BACK!!! *cries* I am using a wooden foundation and burying it right where the tree was, but it grows back in a few days. Any advice??

Kemarofangs, oh no, I'm so sorry - you don't have to go THAT far. You can build in a square right outside of the wall, I will make a screenshot next time I play Garden Paws.

As for the bridges, it's REALLY just a lot of trial and error like with all building.

Can you add a section for how to build bridges to islands and clarify the ladder in town section? It took me forever to figure out that you had to build structures on your farm island then use the item shifter to shift them out of bounds.
