1. Put on some music that makes you get sh*t done
Listen to your favourite music, that doesn't relax you, but instead makes you aware and ready.

Antidote works well for that:
2. Start a new game
Set the gamma factor to the maximum, then just press on new game and start going without thinking too much about the monsters.

3. Determine who your oponent is
Determine which monster you are playing against, by just running from the start. You will soon find out.

  • If it's the brute you will hear it very soon. The brute is considered to be the fastest of the three, though rather slow and dumb compared to you. That's why it´s easy to outrun it. Just make sure to not get stuck somewhere.
  • If it's the hunter you will find those big pimples everywhere shortly after your start. Don't get scarred by them as the alien takes forever to get out of these.
  • If it's the fiend the light will flicker if it's near you so just turn around and go the other way.

If you don't know what i want to tell you with this: The monsters are slow, the only real enemy is fall damage, so there is no reason to be scared.
4. Find stuff
Run around, collect useful items, don't get fixated on a specific escape route. You should also try leaving mission items near the escape where they are used or use them right away if possible (helps saving space in your inventory for other items).
If you want to know where to find mission items, just google it and/or watch speedruns.

also pro tip: (sorry if i spam) in fact why am i even righting on this?........ o well the author can delete it. if he wants ._. anyway during a monster looking for you it cannot notice you during the search of a locker,bed/shelf,table/cafe desk thing. so you can book it

... the hunter is blind... OR it just cannot see because of its eyes on its head (he was standing during this happen AND THE BEST VIEW TO GET IT ON if ur lucky, is inside a crate on the very left of the... uh i dont know what its called but its by the bridge outside... where the crates are) anyway i hid from hunter just now as im posting this and i seen him clonk his head on the door and became agitated by it and opened it.

GLITCH TIP: if you want to annoy brute and hunter (hunter can i think get you if u do this but yeah) find a room in the lower decks (idk what room it is) but it has 2 lockers on the right (i would maybe open both of them mainly the one on the far right) after that you climb on the counter on the very right corner of the room, crouch if you dont want monster seeing you or you can stand up if you like to troll. and have fun! the monster cant touch ur ass (except fiend) the fiend is the worst because: he grabs you in a second, he has a far reach, he uses his mind control/brain damage thing...

instructions unclear. brute bashed the door down but hunter he no give no fuck he fucken ripped a metal door (in the lower decks) my the hinges!!! #hunter got some abs going on there!

fun fact: the brute has the worst kill hitbox out of the three, you have to be real close to get killed so if you end up in a chase, try to get further away by spraying him with a fire extinguisher when he gets close
