Eating a cake seems pretty easy. Finding it is the hard part. The first one I found was in Redbeard's room. To say the least, getting to it was a pain, and I had a very hard time defeating the monsters guarding the first floor of Redbeard's tower with my Blademaster.



To enter this area, you have to complete the first two parts of the quest "Council curiosity", given by envoy Dirran. She stays in the cellar of Avadon, and asks you to tell her what's going on within the Black fortress. As should be expected, Redbeard's private appartement is heavily defended. You will have to fight your way through two floors of monsters to reach the cake.

If you don't want to, or can't defeat Redbeard's minions, you can find at least one other cake in the game. On your second trip to the Tawon Empire, Chosen Tacita, the "mayor" of Serdica will ask you to get rid of Khellem graverobbers, for the third part of the quest "Work for the Tawon". You can find them a bit south of Aetius Temple. They camp around and inside two towers. In on of them, you will find another cake, after defeating a group of dark cultists.

Avadon 2 added something new to Spiderweb games: a romance. Whether you like it or not, it's here. And look, there's a medal/achievement for it. It's supposed to be hard to get (and, at the time of writing, only 1.2% of steam players got it), but really, it's all about a few conversation choices.



Don't expect to get flirty with a Hand: the only romance option is the Wyldrym scout you will meet right at the beginning, in the Ravaged Wood, during the "Finish your patrol" quest. If you are playing a male character, it's gonna be Silke. If you are playing a female, the love interest is Rainer.

How does it work? I suspect there's a counter, that goes up or down depending on how you deal with the love interest. After reaching a certain threshold, the romance is possible... If you make certain choices.

I won't go into details and describe every dialogue option with the love interest. Obviously, you should be nice with him. Tell him you like being with him, that you hope to see him again. It's pretty straightforward, and if the Wyldrym scout blushes, you know you're on track.

On the other hand, if you refuse to give the love interest the satchel he asks for in the Ogre's Thicket, your chances at flirting will take a severe hit. Same thing if you tell everyone that the disappeared scout is still alive and working for the rebels.

Lastly, concluding the romance is only possible if you betray the Pact in Titan Lands, during the quest "Konstina's lair", and accept to side with Konstina. You will have to kill commander Odil and his soldiers before being able to talk with the love interest and unlocking the achievement.



If you stay loyal to the Pact, you will still meet the love interest one more time, as he flees Konstina's fortress, but you won't have a chance to give him (or her) a kiss.
