This short guide helps you fix the authorization error.This procedure won't be needed when the fix comes to steam, but for now, this is the way to go.

How to fix the game

According to BjornB, forum administrator from the official paradox forums:

Install the game (Majesty 2 Collection - Steam)
- Start the game and click yourself forwards until you get the error saying that you are unable to access all the DLC's
- Exit the game
- Run the M2CollectionDLCRepair.exe-file
- Start the game

To access the links given above, first you will need to:
1.Register to the official forums
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/
2.Log in of course :)
3.After logging in, click on the "My Games" button(top left of the screen), and register you copy of Majesty with the game's serial number.You can find this by right clicking the game's name in steam library, and selecting "View CD key".

Trick doesn't work. Wish there was a way to trick the outdated auth procedure into seeing a false pos for purchased copies. That find a way to skip the step altogether, while delivering the dlc, maybe rearranging the files?

lol Feb 2018 and still getting this error. Bullshet Gamespy evil nonsense. Why can't the game just work "out of the box?" Would it really kill 1C or Paradox to have 1 or 2 employees come on over to fix this issue?

Not working. Just did all the steps, downloaded the patch from the forum, activated cd key on the forum, launched my game, exited my game from the main menu, ran the patch, launched again, and no DLC appeared. Windows 10 x64 here.
