It's a guide who explain the core gameplay. And how some things working.

This guide don't say you, how you have to play!
It's only about basic things you have to know to improve your skill.

Practice is the best waht you can do!!
And maybe whatching some videos from players.
There you can see the good and the mistakes tehy do. And hopefully learn from them.
But the most you will learn from your own mistakes.

Maybe the damage or the healing of some spells has been changed since i created this guide.
So in this guide i told that Spell "XXX" is the strongest, or the best against an other spell.
Maiby this is not true anymore.
But it doesn't matter for the Aim of this guide.

Game Basics
First Basic: Remember the spells

You have to remember that you have a lot of spells for any situation!
(X stand for any additional element)

  • Rock (physical): D / DD /DDD / DX / DXX / DDX [self cast = earthquake]
  • Fire: F / FF / FFF / FX / FXX / FFX [self cast = fire aoe]
  • Water: Q / QQ / QQQ / QX / QXX / QQX [self cast = water aoe]
  • Frost: R / RR / RRR / RX / RXX / RRX [self cast = frost aoe]
  • Death: S / SS / SSS / SX / SXX / SSX [self cast = death aoe]
  • Life: W / WW / WWW / WXX / WWX [self cast = self heal]
  • Lightning: A / AA / AAA / A / AX / AXX / AAX [self cast = lighning aoe]
  • Shield: E / ED / EDX / ES / ESS / ESX / EW / EWW / EWX / EF / EQ / EFQ / ER / EQR / EA / EAA / EAX...[EXX self cast = Wards]
    Wards are protection against elemental damage.
    For example:
    ES+self cast. Reduces the damge by 50% which is taken by death.
    ESS+self cast. Reduces the damage by 100% which is taken by death. So no damge from death.

Don't use the same spell over and over again.(That's what i did as i started to play this game. I like frost. So i made the enemy wet and start to spam DRR or DDR. I have done this over and over again in every match. But it was the wrong way.)
Use Rocks, Beams, Mines, Shields, Walls, Barriers and Storm-walls to damage the enemy or avoid damage from them.
(Dxx, Sxx, ESx, EWx, E, Exx, EDx, EFx, ERx, EQx and EAx)
So mix your spellcasting!!

Second Basic: Teamplay

Help your Team.
Heal your Teammates.
Dry your Teammates. But watch closely, don't make them burn!
Possibly Push them away from enemys and place a barrier or a shield if they have realy low health. Better is you push back the enemy.
This all is realy important. But healing is the most important thing!!

Third Basic: Spell Combinations

You can't combine every element you want.
There are some rules.

- Life and Death can not be combined!
W & S
- Earth and Lightning can not be combined!
D & A
- Lightning and Water can not be combined!
A & Q
- Fire and Frost can not be combined!
F & R


Fourth Basic: Spell Priority

"Q, F, R" = Sprays
"S or W" = Beam
"D" = Rock-projectile
"A" = Lighting

"S" comes befor any Spray.
"D" comes befor "S".
"A" comes befor "S" too.

For Example:
If you cast "F" you have a fire-spray. "FQ" = steam-spray.
If you cast "FS" you have a fire-beam. (not a spray) "FQS" = steam & death-beam.(not a spray)
If you cast "FD" you have a fire-rock. "FQD" = steam-rock. "FDS" = fire & death-rock. (not a beam)
If you cast "FA" you have a fire-lightning. "FAS" = fire & death-lighning. (not a beam)

"FQA" will not work, because you can't mix "Q" and "A"
"FDA" will not work, because you can't mix "D" and "A".

The same with mines(ES) and lightning-walls(EA).
If you cast "EF" you have a fire-wall.
If you cast "EFS" you have fire+death-mines. (not a fire+death-wall)
If you cast "EFA" you have a fire-lightning wall. (this one looks different compared to the normal fire.wall)
If you cast "ESA" you have a death-lighning wall. (no mines)

And the Barriers.
If you cast "EDx" you have a elemental-barrier. (except "EDA", this will not work too)

Try out all combinations with all elements and you will see what happens.
Defensive- and Ofensive Spells.

Defensive Spells:

Shields "E"

Click at the ground to place one simple shield.
Self cast it (click at yourselfe or use "middle mouse button") to create shield-dome arround you.

Every single shield spell "E" will block every Spray and reflect every Beam.
But all Wizards can run thru it.

Barriers "ED" or "EDx"

Click at the ground to creat such Barriers.
Barriers protect against physical Projectiles like Rocks and and Ice-Rocks. And melee weapons.
It also blocks Wizard movement.
"QSR" Ice-Shards slightly break thru it.

- "ED" is a simple Rock-wall.
- "EDx" are Elemental Rock-walls which will explode after a short duration. And do aoe damage to every player who is in range. (So the "x" stands for an aditional Element which you can choose.)

- "EDx" are both in one. They are Defensive and Ofensive at the same time.
They protect you from atacks, block the enemy movement and they can damge the enemy. (or your self)
Only the "EDQ"-Barrier is completely defensive. This one does no damage, but has a very good pushback and wets your foe.

You can destroy this walls, but this will explained in another section.

Water-spray and Aoe (selfcast)"Q":
"QQQ" is the strongest from all water sprays.
It is a very good defensive spell.
Water-spray pushes your target away from you. Currently your target can't do anything while he is pushed back by a Water-spray. (possibly this will be changed with a patch)
Water also makes your target wet.


Ofensive Spells:

Sprays, Shards and Aoe's(selfcast):

- "F" Fire: A good offensive spray which does a good damage and makes your target burn.
- "R" Frost: A middle offensive spell which does a little damage against your Target and chille it.
If your target is wet, he can be freezed.
- "FQ" Steam: A half offensive and half deffensive sepll.
Does a little damage, wets your target and push it back a little.
"FFQ" is stronger.
- "RQ" Ice-shards: A good offensive spell. It works like a shotgun. Multiple shards will shoot in front of you.
The longer you charget this spell the more damge it does. Because spread will be reduced and more of tehm hit the target. This depends on the distance, your target has to you.
Is your target close to you it will take a lot of damge. If it is further away from you it taks lesser damage, because not all shards will hit.
I think "RQS" are the best ones. They can break thru Barriers and hit targets behind them.

Rocks "D..", Elemental-Rocks"Dxx":

Rocks do physickal damge.
Elemental-Rocks das physical damage and additional damage. Depends on the second and third element who is chosen.
Rocks can be cahrged for more damage and longer travel dinstance.

- "DDD" is the strongest variant of an rock.
Fully charged it does the biggest damage in the game.
- "DDx" or "Dxx" are Rocks with one ore 2 aditional element.
Example: "DDF" rock with physical and fire damage. "DFS" little rock with physical, fire and death damage.
"DQR" good Ice-ball does good damage.

Death-Beam "S":
- "SSS" The strongest Beam.

Beams will explained in another section.

Lightnings "A":
Lightnings are very strong. So try to not hit your teammates with it. Especially not with aoe.

- simple "A" is weak and it makse no sense to cast this. Mix additional elemts with it.
- ASF: This is curretnly the strongest one. But it has a very short range, because only one "A".
It is useless if the enemy wears a "FS"-ward.
- AAS: good damage and range
- AAF: good damage and range. Makes target burning.
- AAR: medium damage good range. Makes target chill. Good to slow down the movement of enemys who are running away.
- AWW: good heal (best if your mate wears a "EAA" ward)

All Lightning spells do more damage if you cast them as aoe. But this reduce the range a little.

Ice-Barrier "EQR"

It is a barrier which should placed directly under an enemy who is very close to you.
Ice-barrier does damage to your target and pushes them back.
These barrier disappears very fast. They are not good for defense!

Beams
There are 2 types of Beams.

Healing:
- Healing-beam: "WWW" the strongest one.
- Hybrid-Healing-beam: "WWQ" Healing-water, "WWF" Healing-fire, "WWR" Healing-frost, "WQF" Healing-steam
Selfhealing (click on yourself or press "Middle Mouse Button") with a your beam does lesser healing on you as the healing-beam of an tother player does.

Death:
- Death-beam: "SSS"
- Hybrid-Death-beam: "SSQ" Death-water, "SSF" Death-fire, "SSR" Death-frost, "SQF" Death-steam
You can also use "Sxx". you have the coice.

Beams do Healing- or Damage- over time.
The longer a beam hits a target, the more it will be Healed or Damaged.

You can't combine Death with Life (Healing).

Beams can be crossed. If beams of same type will be crossed the main beam will be stronger.
If a Death-beam will be crossed with a Healing-beam both casters will be knocked down.
If two beams from he same type colide with each other both casters will be knocked down.

You can block a beam by placing a shield with "E" and klick at the ground or selfcast it to creat a shield dome.
"ED"-barriers will block beams too but very very short.
Mines
There are 2 typs of Mines.

To palce mines, click at the ground.
Mines will be trigered by moving over them.
If you stand on them they will be trigered, but not explode.
They will explode instantly if you start moving away.
Mines also can be triggered by using any spray or Elemental-rock(Dxx) or an Elemental-barrier.
Mines can be overwritten by placing other mines-, elemental-wall or barriers at the same spot.

Healing:
- Healing-mines: "EWW".
- Hybrid-Healing-mines: "EWF" Healing-fire, "EWQ" Healing-water, "EWR" Healing-frost.

Death:
- Death-mines: "ESS"
- Hybrid-Death-mines: "ESF" Death-fire, "ESQ" Death-water, "ESR" Death-frost.


Mines does aoe-damage and aoe-healing.
And pushes the Wizard a little bit into the air.

Elemental-Walls / Elemental Barriers and how to eliminate them
Elemental-Walls:
- "EF" Fire-wall = Can be destroyed with Water- or Frost-spray or aoe.
- "ER" Frost-wall = Can be destroyed with Fire-spray or aoe.
- "EQ" Water-wall = Can be destroyed with Frost-spray ore aoe.
- "EQF" Steam-wall = Can be destroyed with Frost-spray or aoe.
- "EA" and "EAx" Storm-wall (lightning) = Can be destroyed with a Water-spray or Water-aoe.
You don't have to run around of these walls.

Barriers and Elemental-Barriers
- "ED" / "EDx" = Can be destroyed with every Elemental- Spray / Beam or Aoe(Q, W, R, A, S, F, QF) except with Earth(Rock) and Ice(QR..). But if you mix any other element into an Rock "Dxx" or DDx" you can destroy these barriers.
They will explode automatically after a short duration.
But you can destroy them befor that happens. Why you should do that? Because, maybe it will damage the enemy befor he can run out of the aoe range.
But be careful. If you are to close to them, they will damage you.
Special Skill based things
I think this needs a little bit of experience.
  • Try to cahnge your Protection (Wards) in battle. This should be done if the enemy is using spells, you are not protected against.
    But necessarily if you are out of battle restore them. That's important!
  • Dry yourself.
  • Look at your own health.
  • Heal yourself with beam or Healing-mines (and Healing-wall combo). Or with Healing-storm "EAW"
  • Look at yourself befor you cast a lightning based spell.(Axx, EAx) Maybe you are wet.
  • Use Lightning wisely. Maybe you kill 2 from your own team for only one enemy. (Except it is the last enemy who needs to bekilled for a win. xD)
  • Watch your teammates and what they do.
  • Look at the status effect of your enemies.
  • Look what Wards your enemies wearing.
  • If the Enemy is close to you, place a "EAx" Stormwall. If he is run thru it, push him back into it wiht Water-spray. (this is just an example)
  • If the enemy follows you, palce "ESx" Mines or an "ERx" Wall to damage- or chill him. (this is just an Example)
  • Don't forget your Magicks!!
  • Play wisely.
Finally!
So all what you have to know is, that you have a bunch of spells you can use in any situation!!!
Therefore mix up your Spellcasting!!! And use it Wise!

If you manage to do this, i guarantee that you will improve your skill and also have more fun with this game.

Somthing waht can help you to improve your skill, is watching gameplay videos or record videos for your own, to see waht you have done and waht the enemy or other players have done.
You will see what you have done wrong and learn from it.
And it is a good way to see some spell combinations.

some Tips:
- As a beginner you should try to stay with 1 or 2 of your teammates and help tehm.(healing / or assisting in fight)

- Distances: Normaly the range is switching rapidly between all distances.]
So if i play MWW i try to switch the spells rapidly.
For Example:
Sxx-Beam for 1-2 seconds (maybe the enemy is using a E-shield tehn, or switching to ESx-Ward), a rock Dxx,
a Elemental-wall EAx or EF or EFF... etc.,
a spray FFF or FFQ or RRR..etc.,
some Mines ESS or ESF or ESR...etc.,
Ice-shard QRS or QRR,
a Beam again,
a Wall,
a Barrier EDx,
some Miens,
a Lighting Axx,
a Spray,
a Rock,
some mines,
a Wall,
a Beam.....etc.
And i try to switch my wards.(bit its very hard for me :D)
And i check out the ward of my enemy, that i don't use a spell he is warded for.(its hard too :D)
And i look for my teammates, that i don't use a lightning if they are to close to me.

I use only one Projectile and tehn i switch to an other type of spell.
But u have to know if i am in a good distance to my enemy that my spells can take efect on him.
And this a thing which you have to find out on your own.

So thats my paly-style. (mostly)

You can play really diffrent ways. There are so mutch things you can do.
And thats the reason why i don't tell about strategy and tactics in my guide.
