How to remove missing/old/disabled entensions from your save file.

This guide tells you how to disable all your extensions on a save file. If you can't load a save file because of missing extensions, that are either out of date or removed by you, this guide will help you remove those extensions from your save file.

Here's what you need to do...

Open your save file in "\Documents\Egosoft\X Rebirth\29168516\save" with a text editor. Find "<patches>". Delete everything in between "<patches>" and "<patch version...", you can also delete the extensions individually. All extensions will be disabled on that save. Any extensions that aren't missing will add themselves back in when you access the save file.
