NS 2400

Description
In the early 1950s, the Dutch Railways decided that the remaining steam locomotives should be replaced within a few years. To this end, 280 diesel locomotives were ordered, divided over the 2200 and 2400 series, which contributed to the fact that the last steam locomotive could be taken out of service in January 1958.

This set contains 3 livereys also available in reverse.

@LexyGone Sta je repaints toe? Ik zou graag een 4K versie van het model willen maken. Uiteraard "with due credits to its creator", ik heb al 4K repaints gedaan van Oppie zijn MB200 en NS 1100.

A Guy Called Pi, ja, de NS zette zijn diesellocs eigenlijk alleen in op goederendiensten, voor lokale treinen waren er treinstellen mat' 46, mat'54 en Rode Duivels, en voor intercity's werden 1100- en 1200'en gebruikt (later natuurlijk ander materieel).
De enige uitzondering hierop waren de zes zesassige diesellocomotieven van de serie 2600 (ook wel Beelen genoemd), gebouwd voor passagiersdiensten in Brabant en Limburg. Toch, ook deze locs waren slechts besteld omdat in die gebieden belangrijke spoorlijnen nog niet geelectrificeerd waren. Ze waren erg onbetrouwbaar en werden al na 7 jaar dienst gesloopt toen ze niet meer nodig waren.
