Description
The year is 1876. The Boshin War has lasted far longer than first anticipated, and has inflicted significant casualties on both sides. The list of battles grows into the hundreds.

Seeking to deal a decisive blow to the Shogunate's morale, the Grand Imperial Army has marched on GreatWall. The wall, legendary in status, has served the Shogunate for over 200 years. Built across the entire width of Sloping Valley, GreatWall is known to be all but impenetrable.

Arriving at the doorstep of GreatWall, the Grand Imperial Army brought with it something its predecessors did not: modern artillery. The thunder of the guns began, GreatWall's majesty undone. Olden stone turned to rubble. The wall's age no longer subtle.

Now, GreatWall lies before you in great disarray. Though greatly damaged, the wall still stands. The Grand Imperial Army is sounding the call to battle, its endless columns soon approaching. The Shogunate Army is manning the defenses, knowing that the wall must be held at all costs.

What shall become of GreatWall?

Supports any number of players. To play as the sieging force, pick team 1 (the left team in the battle setup screen), and to play as the besieged force, pick team 2 (the right team in the battle setup screen).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The defending team's units will spawn underground in roughly the middle of the map, but can be moved without issue during the deployment phase. As such, it is recommended that you do not play with defending team bots, as they are not clever enough to correct this issue on their own. Cavalry of the attacking team's bots also seem to be drawn to the same location, even if there are no defending team units present. Unfortunately, this is a game-engine limitation, so there is nothing I can do about it at this time. I will remove this enclosed Notice if I find a fix/solution. Besides this minor inconvenience, the map should be 100% playable.

CA broke the old mod manager with their "updates" and with this also custom maps. You can get back to the old version when following this steps: https://www.moddb.com/mods/napoleon-tw-files-prior-to-ca-patch-april-2023/downloads/shogun2-files-to-add-main-folder-modmanager

Somehow the gunnery towers lack a capture point, and they start uncontrolled.

I myself do not have any experience in implementing custom maps in campaign, so I will not be able to fulfill such a request, though it does sound cool.

Hello Emperor, can you also make a starfort in campaign that has wall canons and canon towers and maybe stationary gattling guns? There is one fort in custom batlle that has canon walls and canon towers, but none in campaign. It would be cool, if you can make something like that.

Changing the map from Siege to Land causes some new issues with the walls, so my best recommendation of currently would be to try to stick to player VS player matches if you are experiencing crashes.
