To get rid of the black screen, all you have to do is open the hotel map.

There is a glitch that occured for me twice, one time at the moment of putting the blanket into the sink. It stops the next dialog sequence from loading and leaves you with the black screen. It's not game-breaking though. If you ever face anything like it, just go back to the main menu and restart from last checkpoint. There will be a short fragment to replay, but other than that should be fine.

Thanks for the guide!

You may get the achievement even after you got the screwdriver and opened a 117 room. Just go to the women's restrooms till the day end.

Hey all, I've updated the guide. Sorry for any inconvenience. The developers have changed the achievement multiple times. It used to unlock after killing yourself, then it unlocked for completing the game, and now it unlocks for trying to kill yourself but staying alive.

Had issues with the "All together, again"-Achievement as well. On my first playthrough I didn't kill myself as well and didn't get it. I recently replayed the game to get the missing achievements and even didn't get the achievement after going for the sad ending. I wanted to try again to see if it might be a random behavior.

Seems like currently the right option is not to kill yourself. The Achievement pops up before the credits, so you know pretty soon if it works or not.

Daedalic offers savegames for every chapter here:

Also, to minimize frustration, you can exit the game when the final scene starts and backup your savegame manually so you could restart anytime from there without having to play the final chapter again.

I also played around with some settings but I'm pretty sure none of that really made an impact. Guess Daedalic changed the logic in a later patch.

First time I chose not to kill myself in the end. But on my second walkthrough I just sit and did nothing, until Nicole died, in order to get the All together, again achievement. But it did not pop up. There were credits after the death scene. I waited till the end of credits, the main menu of the game appeared, and... still no achievement. WTF? What did I do wrong? The guide said I had to kill myself in the end of game to get this achievement.

I just turned the radio on (didn't touch the gear) and waited. Got the "we will bring back the Timberline to its fortune" line, but it was overlapped with the credit screen.

Pressed enter, back at the main menu, no "All together, again" achievement, only the "Alone".

I played through the game a 2nd time and when it got to the ending scene, I turned on the radio, put the car in gear, turned on the engine. When the prompt came to turn off the engine, I agreed both times. Immediately after the car shut off the achievement popped. I assumed some level of interacting with the car is necessary for the game to consider you "completing" it. I'd like to know if anyone has dived into the game files to see what's necessary; regardless of what you choose to do at the end. I suppose abstaining from any choice at the end is in a way the opposite of what the point of the game was, or maybe I'm reading too into it. You must make a choice instead of running away. Cheers all.
