Introduction
This is a guide to each and every Idol available in Starnova: Idol Empire. You'll find all their stats, abilities and more. Includes info on the Sunrider Girls as well.

Obviously there's minor spoilers here and as such, don't look if you don't want the game spoiled for you. However, most of this information has already been released publicly on Love In Space's twitter feed.

On to the girls, in no particular order (but starting with the original Starnova girls)!
Kashiwagi Aki
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Aki is one of the original Starnova girls and is, of course, one of the best Idols in Idol Empire. She's got a great set of Center abilities. And... honestly, who doesn't like twin-tailed, slightly tsundere loli's?

Out of the original Starnova girls, she has the highest starting Persona stat. She's good for early jobs that require medium/low Persona.

Her Center abilities focus on training so she's a great center to help the rest of your Idols get their stats up and her NOVA makes herself train even faster.

Finally, Aki starts with the Overdoer condition, which makes her train faster but at the same time, lose HP faster.

Notes
With Aki's Center abilities she can really help your girls train faster. Be careful with setting her on Automatic Training, though. With her personality, she doesn't know when to stop and will often overwork and/or injure herself. Easy fix is just to use the Master Scheduler to force her to take breaks daily.
Shimazaki Sasami
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Sasami is another original Starnova girl. She's a "good girl" with a Pure image and also known as The Lamb of Starnova. She's an all-rounder with average starting stats and decent Center abilities that focus on Pure generation. Her NOVA is extremely useful.

Sasami is a hard worker and always trying to do her best. While she may be the Lamb, she does indeed have horns, and will do what it takes to become a top idol.

Sasami doesn't start with any conditions, beyond being adorable.

Notes
Sasami's Center abilities can help out quite a bit in many situations. Her Pure generation is especially useful. Pure affects Scandals and Fanquakes and can help reduce the frequency of both. Her NOVA is also quite good as you can force a little extra out of everyone while it's active.
Yamamoto Mariya
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Mariya is an original Starnova girl. As the oldest member of Starnova she's got years more experience than anyone and it shows in her singing ability. She starts with the highest Sing stat out of all the Starnova girls and has abilities that focus on Songs.

Mariya has had a hard life and she starts with several conditions. Chemical Dependency, Alcoholic and Smoker are what she starts with. As an alcoholic, Mariya will start drinking if her mood gets low enough. This drops her movement speed and reduces all stats by 4, while her Smoker condition drops her max HP by 20. Her Alcoholic and Smoker conditions can be cured at the Sickbay, however.

Ultimate Technique
Mariya's NOVA has her instantly record any songs she's queued for.

Notes
Mariya's initial starting conditions can be concerning, but they're easily manageable. Keep her mood up and she won't start drinking. The HP hit from smoking isn't too big of a deal at first, but it will affect her performance in Lives as time goes on. You should cure her of both conditions as soon as you can afford to.
Watanabe Julie
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Julie's an original Starnova girl, a "bad girl," and the best looking one out of all of them. She's half-Japanese and half-American. She's hot and she knows it. She's quite the tsundere as well. While she has the best looks out of all the original Starnova girls, which she's cruised through life with, her other stats are definitely lacking.

Julie's Center abilities focus on Looks with boosts to Makeup. Her boosts in the later levels of her development are borderline insane and will grant huge buffs to the girls Looks stats when they use Makeup.

Julie doesn't take any crap and doesn't really care about much so she starts with the Rebellious condition. When her mood turns sour, she will refuse all orders and go hang out in the Break Room. Her rebellious streak cannot be cured in the Sickbay.

Ultimate Technique
Julie's NOVA has her start some of her own scandals, taking Infamy from the other girls and applying it to herself.

Notes
Julie's Center abilities should not be ignored. The boosts she gives to Makeup are very good and can help you dominate those high-class Jobs and make your fans heads explode during Lives. Her NOVA is also extremely useful for dropping Infamy across the board on all your Idols. Don't be put off by her rebellious nature, either, as you can easily manage that by keeping her happy.
Hashimoto Mika
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Mika is an original Starnova girl and every otaku's dream. She's heavily into anime and video games, and an all around cutie, so she starts with a fairly high Looks stat. She's also similar to Sasami with a Pure image and thus her Pure stat starts quite high. However, since she's been a shut-in for a couple years, her other stats are lacking.

Mika's Center abilities focus on Song PV's and Fan Service.

Mika starts with the Otaku condition, which boosts all her stats by 4 when she takes on any anime or video game related Jobs.

5

Ultimate Technique
Mika's NOVA immediately restores all of her Pure. With this you can send her on all kinds of questionable jobs and just NOVA it all away!

Notes
Mika's Center abilities are great for increasing money and Fame from Songs (with a Fan Service PV). PV's already boost a Song's Quality and Fan Service makes the rewards all the better, but comes with a hit to Infamy and Pure. Mika can stop that! Also, her NOVA is great in it's own way. You can send her on all sorts of questionable or sleazy jobs and just insta-restore her Pure. Plus her Otaku condition is great for scoring successes on any oktaku-related jobs.
Tanabe Natsuki
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Natsuki (also known as "Nattan") is an original Starnova girl. She's a country girl straight out of Kansai and it shows through her personality. She's got a love of the farm life and Alpacas and is highly athletic. She starts with the highest Dance stat out of the original girls. She's got a pretty good personality and a Pure image.

Natsuki's Center abilities focus on Stalker prevention and HP regeneration.

Natsuki starts with two conditions: Genki, which increases her movement speed and Quick Metabolism, which makes her immune to the Eating Disorder condition.

Ultimate Technique
Natsuki's NOVA has her hop on her trusty Alpaca steed and get a huge boost to her own movement speed.

Notes
While Natsuki does start with high Dance, she's really an all around average Idol. Her NOVA, while novel, isn't all that useful as it's short-lived. Her Center abilities really do shine, though, as anything to make Stalkers less annoying is a plus. HP regeneration is great, too, as it keeps everyone able to work a little more or rest less often.
Akimoto Nemu
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Last, but most certainly not least (if you catch my drift), of the original Starnova girls is Nemu. She's a rich girl, high class with high tastes. She's quite attractive and personable so she starts with fairly high Persona and Looks stats.

Nemu's Center abilities focus on KN generation and because of her family's business connections she helps out quite a bit in that regard.

Nemu does, however, come with a rather crippling psychosis and the Yandere condition to go with it. When her mood turns sour she's prone to whip out Gunter-kun (her handsome gentleman of a knife) and chase the other girls around the office with it. This will make the girls cancel their tasks and, obviously, run away. Her predilection towards Gunter, and thus her Yandere condition, cannot be cured in the Sickbay.

Ultimate Technique

Notes
With her Center ability to generate KN dialy, Nemu is a great choice for a center in the early game when you need all the cash you can get. Her NOVA can be extremely helpful as well as Tier 2 & 3 facilities are costly to build. She's not a bad girl, either. She just wants to love you. To death.
Mariko Furuya
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Furuya is the latest addition to the core Starnova team. She's an incredibly beautiful Shrine Maiden, with quite a talent in song and dance. She starts with high Dance, Sing and Looks stats because of this. As she's a Shrine Maiden she has a Pure image and starts with very high pure. However, because she's quite enigmatic and stoic, her personality is lacking. She's also able to divine insight on the supernatural.

Her Center abilities revolve entirely around her Shrine Maiden life and give boost to Songs made with Shrine PV's.

Furuya, not unlike the rest of the quirky girls, has her own issues. She is rather stoic and slightly OCD and her starting conditions reflect that. The Stoic condition keeps her mood fairly mellow at all times and she is unable to become Angry or Overjoyed. Her OCD condition relates to cleaning and she will furiously clean the office (and complain about it) whenever your DEC level is too low.

Ultimate Technique
Furuya's NOVA sets her OCD off and she'll clean the office like a woman possessed, giving you a nice boost to your DEC level (500 points per use).

Notes
Though Furuya's Center abilities may seem useless at first glance, Pure is not an easy stat to increase as there aren't many ways to do so. When you need a good dose of Pure, a Shrine PV is definitely a good way to do it. Her NOVA, and the free DEC that comes with it, is very good as well.
Nitta Kaori
(click to view full size image)

Overview
With Kaori we dive into the original Quasar girls. She's one of the best Idols in Idol Empire, not only because of her image and personality. She's a very cute girl-next-door "good girl" type with a great personality and very good singing skills as well. She's got a Pure image and as such she starts with very high Pure.

Kaori constantly struggles to do her best and make her parents happy, all the while wondering if she was always one of the bad guys...

Kaori has some great Center abilities that focus on mitigating Scandals.

Kaori has no starting conditions, other than being so cute you wanna give her lots of head pats and squish her with hugs.

Ultimate Technique

Notes
You all know the drill. Infamy gets a little high and it's a nonstop Scandal festival. Expensive and beyond annoying. Kaori's Center abilities absolutely rock when it comes to dealing with Scandals. This makes her one of the most useful Idols in the game and should not be ignored! While her NOVA may seem subpar at best, being able to increase Mood (and perhaps stop a slashing or binge) is a good ability to have.
Yoshino Mako
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Mako is a member of Quasar and a genius middle-schooler loli Idol. She became a top Idol at just 13 years old, in no small part thanks to her parents influence. She was bred to become famous. She's direct competition to Aki with the loli image (though Aki does have 7 years of experience as a 12 year old).

Mako's extremely skilled in the Idol life as she was practically trained since birth. She's got very high Dance and Sing skills and a crafted personality to go with hit, so her Persona stat is high as well. She's got a rather odd personality for a 14 year old girl, but that's probably to be expected in the jaded lifestyle of the entertainment industry.

Mako's Center abilities revolve around her parents business connections and give boosts to Jobs. She also starts with one condition, NG Contract, which forbids her from doing certain adult-oriented jobs. Since, you know, she's 14.

Ultimate Technique
Mako's NOVA has her parents pull all the strings and leverage their vast professional contacts. Businessmen will come running to your office to do business with you.

Notes
Between her Center abilities and starting stats, Mako is an absolute beast when it comes to Jobs. Her starting stats alone (with a quick trip to the Makeup Room) allow her to complete nearly any job successfully. Train her a little and she'll never fail. If you're running the Jobs loop, or need to get some quick Popularity and KN, her Center abilities and NOVA are indispensable.
Stella Silver
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Stella is the epitome of manufactured beauty. She's an android Idol crafted by the brains of Quasar, Kamijou. She can dance and sing like a machine and was built to be the perfect Idol, so she's got high Dance, Sing, Looks and Pure stat. As she is an android, however, her personality is somewhat lacking.

Stella can use her vast processing ability to get all kinds of information off the net and run social media like a Goddess. She was built for perfection, with all the right parts in mind, and is quite likable. If not somewhat robotic, for obvious reasons. She spends her downtime charging herself in the Break Room and on @chan.

Stella's Center abilities focus on Songs and Lives, as she was built to be the perfect Idol.

Stella's only real downside, however, is due to her being an android. She starts with the Android condition and this prevents her from doing anything food-related. She cannot use the Cafeteria and dislikes any food-related Jobs. While you won't be able to improve her Looks in the Cafeteria, she can still use Makeup. This condition isn't something that can be cured.

Stella's NOVA has her utilize her awesome processing power to enhance your logistics so that you sell more merchandise from your Sales Department.

Notes
Stella was designed to be a perfect Idol. With that in mind, all her abilities revolve around increasing Popularity and making money off Songs, Lives and Merchandise. If you're doing the Songs loop to make cash, she's an excellent choice for center as everything about her being center is about making money. And she's a hot android. With all the right parts. Yes, all of them.
Okuda Shiro
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Shiro is known as the Empress of Entertainment and it's a deserving title. She's incredibly beautiful and strong-willed. She's honed her skills to perfection and her stats reflect that. She starts with very high stats across the board. However, because she knows what she's worth, she demands a very high salary.

Shiro's got it all. She's a top Idol and has been the Center of Quasar for a couple years. She's got the looks, experience, knowledge and ambition to dominate the Idol industry. She knows what it takes to get what she wants and while she can be caring and kind, she's also cold and calculating.

As Shiro is a top Idol and all about the entertainment aspect of it, her Center abilities focus on Lives.

Shiro starts with one condition. She's hot, she's got it, and she knows it. Her condition is Expensive and because she's an Empress she demands about 1.5x the salary of your other Idols. This condition cannot be cured in the Sickbay.

Ultimate Technique
Shiro's NOVA gathers her loyal army of followers to shut down all the hate towards her, converting all her Infamy into Fame.

Notes
Shiro is an all around beast. With her extremely high starting stats she can tackle almost anything right out of the gate. While she is expensive in terms of salary, she more than makes up for that with her ability to complete Jobs without fail. Her skills will bring a boost to Song Quality and her Center abilities will help you blow out Lives and make more Popularity and KN from them. Her NOVA is also invaluable as you can send her off on questionable Jobs (that give Infamy) and just convert it right to Fame. The Empress can do no wrong.
Ashada Chigara
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Fresh out of the Sunrider's engineering room we have Chigara. All Chigara wants in life is to open a Bakery and settle down. Though things never go as planned...

Chigara is a very cute, sweet girl who always tries her best. She's incredibly intelligent and the best engineer that ever was. With her looks and abilities she's got good starting stats.

Since Chigara is an all-star Engineer, her Center abilities revolve around manufacturing.

Some, uh... things... yeah, things happened with Chigara and because of that she starts with the Unpopular condition. But it really wasn't her fault. This makes her lose Fame more quickly than anyone else.

Ultimate Technique
Chigara's NOVA makes her dream come true and turns the Cafeteria into a bakery. While the Cafeteria is a bakery, eating there will regenerate HP.

Notes
Though Chigara may have some... uh, issues, she really is a sweet girl. Honest. Her Center abilities are great for your Sales Department and Research Lab. The increases to speed and decreases to cost help rake in that KN. Her NOVA, however, is more situational than most and honestly isn't all that useful. But Chigara's a good girl, so it's all okay.
Asaga Di Ryuvia
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Asaga is a loud, energetic cute girl who also happens to be a Queen. And, well, maybe bipolar. She was the first Ryder Pilot (along with Chigara) that Shields hired on the Sunrider. She's an Ace pilot, usually always in a good mood and down for nearly anything.

She's got good skills across the board, but is generally an all-rounder as an Idol. She strives to be a hero of Justice and with that the best Idol among the stars.

While her stats may be barely above average she's quite popular and her Center abilities focus on getting more out of her fans.

She's so energetic she only has one starting condition, Genki, which increases her movement speed.

Ultimate Technique

Notes
Asaga, with her Center abilities, makes a great late-game choice for a center. The Event Room is critical in the late game and every skill she has causes huge boosts to the income from it.
Ava Crescentia
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Ava is the XO of the Sunrider and long-time friend of Captain Shields. She's a by the books type of girl with stunning looks and an amazing singing ability thanks to her secret karaoke obsession. She's got a cold personality and is usually either expressionless or exasperated. And she will absolutely murder you if you don't get that paperwork done, Producer-san. Now.

Since Ava's a no-nonsense professional, her Center abilities focus on her leadership (or lack thereof?) abilities. She can diffuse tension between the other girls and keep the fans in line as well.
Ava gladly oversees practice and makes sure everyone is follow the rules, thus preventing injuries.

Ava's also extremely hardworking, perhaps to a fault. She has the Overdoer condition which makes her train faster, but she also uses HP faster as well.

Ultimate Technique
Ava's NOVA has her take charge of the situation and get your fans in order. Once she strikes terror in the hearts of your irate fans with her steely gaze, Fanquakes are less likely to occur.

Notes
Ava is a great choice for center throughout the game. Her starting Sing is very high which can provide a good boost to Song Quality and her ability to make the girls less jealous of each others salary is a good way to save some cash. Her NOVA is excellent when it comes to dealing with Fanquakes but the timing is important. Also, be careful if you set her to automatically train, as she has the Overdoer condition and will work herself to death before resting.
Icari Isidolde

Overview
Icari is the deadliest mercenary of the Neutral Rim, who joined the Sunrider after she tried to kill them. She's tsundere to the max but quite attractive nonetheless. She prefers speed over all else and is extremely deadly with her Katana. While she is attractive, slightly psychopathic tsundere mercenaries don't exactly make great Idols at first, so her stats are lacking.

Icari's generally an all-rounder to start with and because of her murderous background, isn't exactly the image of Purity. Though, she will aid with office security and send Stalkers running with their tail between their legs.

Icari has no starting conditions, surprisingly, for what she is.

Notes
Stalkers fear Icari. You probably should, too. She won't kill you if you make her mad, though. Maybe. She does make a great center in the mid to late game because of her boosts to your Security Department and her NOVA which instantly deals with any Stalkers. This can help greatly lower your expenses, as the Security Department can be expensive when dealing with multiple or frequent Stalkers.
Sola Di Ryuvia
(click to view full size image)

Overview
Sola Di Ryuvia is a lost princess of Ryuvia and recently joined the Sunrider crew after she was thawed from deep sleep after a 2,000 year nap. She's an incredible Ryder pilot and a Sniper with unrivaled accuracy and range.

Sola is absolutely beautiful (as a princess should be) but her personality is... not really that great. While still being a contender for best girl, she is definitely of the quiet and reserved type. Plus, 2,000 years of cryosleep don't exactly do wonders for your body so her starting stats are mostly average.

Once she awakens fully, however, she's nigh unstoppable. Since she's from a time long past, her Center skills are somewhat odd (much like her). She can give you an extra Mother of All Glowsticks for Lives and help you upgrade facilities quicker.

Sola starts with the Stoic condition, causing her to never be too angry or too happy.

Notes
Sola is Sunrider's best girl. Though her Center abilities and NOVA might seem somewhat useless, they can save you much needed time with facilities. Plus, an extra massive glowstick is handy during particularly long and/or difficult Lives. Her NOVA stops all Scandals while it's active so, at times, that can also be a huge help. I'd say she's a good early to mid game center, who's also useful at anytime if Scandals are an issue for you.
Conclusion
So, there you have it. The most detailed guide to your favorite Idols this side of the Neutral Rim (or Kansai, whichever you prefer).

Kaori is best girl. Or Sola. Chigara? Aki!! Sasami...? Hmm, Mika. Well, they're all best girls. But I'll go with Kaori. Yep, best girl. Fight me.

Great overview, you guys. The only thing you left out is that Mariya's, Julie's and Nemu's problem conditions can be "cured" by building rewards you gain over time.
lemurs2 18 May, 2020 @ 3:48pm
I think, maybe, that 'medium' is not 17-24. After exhaustive tests (read failures) I am now of the opinion that 19-26 might be medium. Or there is still a large fail risk.
Let's just say Aki failed 4 times in a row in anime tie in or voice over or something, the one that calls for medium personality while Aki was at 17, 17, 18, and 19 personality.

Thanks for putting this up, and I love that Sola's abilities are all over the place and wacky.
