Description
ERV-11 "Polecat" is a small uncrewed rover. It conducts simple experiments in different biomes, scouts for ideal landing sites for future missions, and provides for permanent surface presence even if no future mission is in sight.

Note that it only carries short-range antennas and requires relay network to get control signal and transmit data.

Pure stock, no mods, no DLCs. 58 parts, root part is the QBE drone core.
The "unknown part module" message is caused by MechJeb built-in autopilot function. The craft will load and work just fine without that mod.
Click here for version with delivery system. Mission instructions are on that page.

Key Features
- Compact dimensions (1.4 x 1.4 x 2.0m) and lightweight (0.586t) for easy deployment.
- Stable driving characteristics on Kerbin and Duna. Pay attention to turning rate especially on low-gravity celestial bodies, as with most rovers.
- Self-rescue reaction wheel can turn it upright even when it drifts or flips over, see Design Notes.
- Carries basic science instruments: thermometer, barometer, gravioli detector, accelerometer and surface scanner.
- Has decorative camera/laser device, high gain antenna and robotic arm.

Action Groups
AG1=horizontal control point (default)
AG2=vertical control point (for launching)
AG3=
AG4=antenna
AG5=
AG6=
AG7=self-rescue reaction wheel (see Design Notes)
AG8=experiments

Design Notes
- AG7 toggles a (for this rover) very overpowered reaction wheel that turns it upright even when rolled over. Better Use Q E for self-rescue. Turn it back off after usage, otherwise it would be difficult to drive. It's possible to switch its mode to "SAS only" and drive with it turned on, but I don't think it's necessary.
- That landing strut is meant for imitating an antenna, has no actual purpose.

Wish you enjoy and happy roving!

It's tiring to uninstall MJ every time I upload a craft, and I got lazy these days XD

I assume it's enough to simply load the craft and click the "save" button right away, the "new" version would be free from MJ dependency. MJ does not modify the craft in any way after all.

Would be nice if you could upload a clean version without MechJeb dependencies. KSP throws enough errors on its own. :KScared:

Yeah it's greatly inspired by those NASA ones.

Pure stock, as stated at the beginning of the descriptions.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like the Opportunity Rover?
