Hacking can be a good business, for someone who knows what he's doing and any self-respecting scavenger should consider the career of a device cracker.
The electronic devices (Laptops, iSlabs, Smartphones and Cellphones) found during the scavenging might contain the Data Files, locked away until someone with the right skill-set will crack them open (contents of the device will be blacked-out until that happens). Those files vary greatly in usefulness and value: from nostalgic videos of cats doing silly things, through pictures and messages from the days of the fall of civilization, to the corporate databases worth thousands of dollars - anyone can find something to satisfy his tastes.

Here is a simple instruction on how to unlock those treasures.

To unlock a Laptop, player needs to:
- possess a Hacking skill;
- place a Laptop Battery containing Electric Charges inside it;
- open it, if it's closed (by the right-click menu option "Open");
- turn it on (by the right-click menu option "On");
- enter the hacking encounter (by the right-click menu option "Use");
- choose the option to unlock the Laptop during the encounter;

To unlock any other electronic device (iSlab, Smartphone or Cellphone) player needs to:
- possess a Hacking skill
- have a unlocked, powered and turned on Laptop
- have a proper Cracking Software placed inside the Laptop

• iSl-AK for iSlabs;
  
• 5MR-7 for Smartphones;
  
• Br1nG for Cellphones;

- have a device, that's to be unlocked, containing a correct battery, filled with Charges
- turn on the device (by the right-click menu option "On");
- enter the hacking encounter (by the right-click menu option "Use" on the Laptop);
- choose the option to unlock the device during the encounter;

Voila! Now the player can access any Data Files stored inside the unlocked device.

It's good to remember that the devices use up the Charges, from their batteries, with each activation of an app, as well as each turn they are left on, so it's a good idea to turn off a device when it's not in use (by the right-click menu option "Off").
