Intro
The Integrated Workshop Uploader, available from Dawn of Man 1.5, allows you to upload scenarios and translations to the Steam workshop from the game itself.
It replaces the old command line tool that was used before.

Please refer to our Dawn of Man Workshop Guide for instructions on how to create content for the game.

If you have any issues or feedback using this uploader, please let us know in the modding sub forum.
Uploading a New Item
  • Create folder Documents/DawnOfMan/WorkshopUploader/Content and place the files you want to upload in it. (This is case sensitive, make sure to name the folders exactly as indicated).
  • Place preview image at Documents/DawnOfMan/WorkshopUploader/preview.png
This must be a 640x360 PNG image, you can download a template from here[madrugaworks.com]
  • Launch Dawn of Man, and in the main title screen click on Workshop Uploader.
  • Type title and description and click Upload.
  • Items are uploaded in private mode, you then need to go to the workshop page for the item on the steam website, and change the visibility to public.
  • We highly recommend that you add some screenshots for your item, you can also do this from the workshop page for your item.
Updating Items
When you upload a new item, Steam will assign it a new ID, which you then need to use to update the item by selecting the "Existing" option in the Workshop Uploader and providing the ID.

The Workshop Uploader will automatically remember the ID from the last item you've uploaded, and set it automatically, however if for some reason you want to update a different item, or you lose the ID, you can always get it from the URL of the item page on the Steam Workshop.

uploading game doesn't work, instructions don't make sense. for example i can't name a folder what you say to name it exactly. and i already have the folder in the location implied by the name you want me to use, and with my game name for that folder, but it isn't recognized. this still work? help?
