Structure Zooids
Overview
Structure zooids are cheap bases for other zooids to be attached to. They store energy and nutrition, but have no practical utility without other zooids attached to them.

Chitin, aka Shield Generator
A structure zooid that periodically gives all zooids attached to it a shield that absorbs one attack, regardless of damage. This includes one tick of poison damage. Synergizes well with utility zooids, or as a node zooid for support zooids.

Nervefiber, aka Healer
A structure zooid that heals all zooids when its ability is activated. The more nervefibers, the more effective the healing, but also higher energy cost. Generally useful as a regular structure zooid.

Peapod, aka Tiny Boi
A tiny structure zooid that is super cheap, but super fragile. Makes attached zooids move faster. Synergizes well with Drifter and Radial.

Splitter, aka Battery
A structure zooid that increases player energy capacity significantly, but is somewhat fragile. Also boosts energy regeneration of all attached zooids. Synergizes well with energy-hungry zooids.

Zenoplate, aka Rock
A structure zooid with a lot of health and energy capacity, but is expensive. Also increases damage of all attached zooids. Synergizes well with weapon zooids.
Movement Zooids
Overview
Movement zooids are your thrusters that help you move. The direction of their thrust is dependant on their orientation, and is shown as blue arrows in the editor. They are all able to dash, which boosts movement speed, but uses some energy.

Drifter
An omnidirectional movement zooids with bad movement speed, but has excellent turn speed/agility. Synergizes extremely well with Peapods and Greasers.

Jet
A movement zooids that gives massive thrust along the normal of its attachment point, but has no thrust for any other direction. Synergizes well with melee zooids.

Radial
An omnidrectional movement zooid with slightly below-average thrust in all directions. Useful as an all-purpose engine.

Rattler
A cheap movement zooid with good thrust along the normal of its attachment point, but has terrible thrust for any other direction. Hard to use, but can be spammed more easily than other movement zooids.

Turbine
A movement zooid with good thrust parallel to its attachment point on both sides, but has no thrust for any other direction. Can be used to filling in the sides of a sipho colony.
Combat Zooids
Overview
Combat zooids are your weapons that directly deal damage to enemy siphos. They are relatively expensive, but generally deal more damage than utility zooids. They all require energy in order to fire/activate.

Burstopod, aka Grenade Launcher
A ranged combat zooid that launches grenade-like projectiles that deal large damage in a small area after a short period of time, and reloads quickly. However, this projectile can be destroyed in flight before detonation, and is hard to aim. Synergizes extremely well with Pusher and Twister.

Claw, aka Pincers
A large melee combat zooid that quickly deals large damage in a small area, with low cooldown period. Has massive DPS, but has the worst range in the game, and uses up energy quickly. Synergizes extremely well with Greaser.

Flail, aka Spiky Ball
A melee combat zooid that passively deals damage upon contact with an enemy zooid, depending on speed of collision. Activating will detach or reattach the flail. Low energy usage. Synergizes well with Drifter.

Flak, aka Shotgun
A ranged combat zooid that fires a medium-ranged shotgun blast. Projectiles rapidly loses velocity after blast, and uses a massive amount of energy. Reloads slowly. Synergizes well with Grinder and Splitter.

Leech, aka... uh... it's kinda self-explanatory
A melee combat zooid that deals sustained, albeit weak damage to enemy zooids in a short range, and heals your damaged zooids in the process. Slightly pulls the enemy zooid towards itself. It is the health-centered counterpart to the Energy Leech. Synergizes well with Agonizer and Zenoplate.

Sniper, aka Cannon
A ranged combat zooid that deals large damage to enemies at long range. Reloads slowly, and pierces a maximum of 3 enemy zooids. Synergizes well with Greaser and Agonizer.

Soul Eater, aka Blood Squirter
A ranged combat zooid that deals decent damage damage to enemies at long range, and practically has infinite pierce. It has 3 charges that is refilled by the green orbs dropped by destroyed zooids (this includes nutrition as well). The less charges it has, the less range it has, until it just shoots a pathetic red cloud with practically no range. Synergizes extremely well with Pusher, Zenoplate and Agonizer, as the Pusher can nullify its bad range, while the Zenoplate and Agonizer improves its mediocre damage.

Spike, aka Pokey Boi
A semi-melee combat zooid that deals massive damage when it impales an enemy zooid. Impaling uses a large amount of energy. Also passively deals damage on contact, like the Flail. It can also partially deflect incoming projectiles and other spikes. Synergizes with Zenoplate and Chitin.

Sprayer, aka Machine Gun
A ranged combat zooid that rapidly shoots weak thorns in a small range. Decent DPS. Synergizes extremely well with Grinder and Pusher.

Swarmer, aka Autofiring Summoner
A summoning combat zooid that spawns out tiny bugs that attacks the closest enemy in a large radius when active. Eats through energy quickly and lacks damage.. Synergizes well with Zenoplate and Agonizer.
Utility Zooids
Overview
Utility zooids are a catagory of zooids that either have unique perks and/or deal damage indirectly. They all generate energy passively, but also uses energy when active.

Energy Leach, aka ATP SUCK
A melee utility zooid that absorbs energy from the target zooid, at a rate of 8 energy per second, additive to its passive 8 energy generated per second. It is the energy-centered counterpart to the Leech. Synergizes well with regular Leech.

Grabber, aka Grappling Hook
A semi-melee utility zooid that launches a long-range harpoon that pulls the target towards the player. If the target is solid (ie: terrain), then it pulls the player slightly towards it, then detaches. If it hits an enemy zooid, it damages it, then forcefully pulls it towards itself. Synergizes well with melee zooids and Sizzler.

Miner, aka Poison Bomber
A ranged utility zooid that deploys poison-spewing mines that last for a long time, and detonates when they expire, hit a projectile, or touches an enemy zooid, spewing out a small cloud of poison. All enemy zooids within the cloud will be poisoned, and take 3 ticks of damage from the poison. Synergizes extremely well with Muck and Pusher.

Muck, aka Slow Bomber
A ranged utility zooid that deploys muck-spewing mines that last for a short time, and detonates when they expire, hit a projectile, or touches an enemy zooid, spewing out a small cloud of muck. All enemy zooids within the cloud will be mucked, and increases their drag drastically. Synergizes well with Miner and Pusher, and godly when combined with Sizzler.

Pusher, aka Bubble Gun
A ranged utility zooid that blows bubbles that pushes away enemies and objects, with some recoil. It is the ultimate projectile synergizer, in that it can boost all projectiles, both friendly and hostile.

Sizzler, aka EMP Device
An utility zooid that stuns enemy zooids in a short range for a short period when activated. Synergizes well with Grabber and melee zooids. Absolutely godly when combined with Muck as it gets increased range and DEALS DAMAGE to Muck'ed zooids.

Squirter, aka Acid Sprayer
A ranged utility zooid that sprays a cloud of poison in front of it, with medium range. All enemy zooids within the cloud will be poisoned, and take 3 ticks of damage from the poison. Useful for extra DPS.

Twister, aka Tornado Gun
A ranged utility zooid that sucks up objects. Synergizes extremely well with bomb-launching zooids (Burstopod, Miner, Muck), by clumping up everything.
Support Zooids
Overview
The three support zooids are highly coveted utility zooids that gives zooids buffs. They will all improve zooids attached to the same "node" zooid the support zooid is attached to. Note that their effects can stack without consequence. Tier list: Greaser > Agonizer > Grinder

Agonizer, aka Damage Buff
All zooids affected will gain +1 damage. This does NOT include poison tick. Synergizes well with low-DPS zooids like the Leech and Swarmer.

Greaser, aka Area Buff
All zooids affected will gain either +50% movement speed (for movement zooids), larger hitbox range (for melee zooids and minelayer zooids), or faster projectile speed leading to increased range (for projectile zooids). Synergizes well with... pretty much anything. Synergizes extremely well with Claw and Leech.

Grinder, aka Pierce Buff
All zooids affected will increase its penetration. Only affects projectiles. Note that the Sprayer and Flak do not have any base penetration.

follow up comment to my last one, Penetration with the Leech is nutty, it allows it to suck more than one part at once.
