Hi people,

This is my first guide as such, just basically wanted to show people that there are mods and player made fixes to some problems and how to install them, so please don't flame me for this....

This game is great in my opinion and I have stumbled upon some mods and fixes that help better the game in lots of ways.

The website for the mods is: Mod Site Here [www.nexusmods.com]

There are plenty of fixes and audio, graphics enhancements made by various of people.
To install you may need to create a folder called "extensions" this is where the mods go.

So if you have the steam games on another drive like i do then the path is something like this: F:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\X Rebirth\extensions

Hi, tell the people about the issue. In the first .xml file has a value to be set ( save="false" ) or they get corrupted save files... Many MODs dont have this value set, so please tell them to ad it by them self. Thanks :)

Here is some of my favorate mods and fixes:

  • UFO - Ultimate Fleet Overhaul - Ever wondered why capital ships were just sitting idly while being bombarded by enemies? Ever were angry that your followers were being destroyed in distant sectors while you had long changed positions?
    If you can answer these questions with 'yes', then this mod is for you.
  • X Rebirth Vector Map - Map of the X Rebirth Universe as Vector Graphic.
    It contains layers with all names (Sektors, Clusters, Zones) from the english and german version of the game.
    The map was designed to fit onto a single piece of A4 paper.
    Vector Graphic file was created with the free software "Inkscape".
  • Manual Command Extension - The Manual Command Extension is a mod designed to give you control over basic ship commands that were missing from the games release.
  • Fix Player URV Wharf for Plot Station - This mod adds the Following Drones as items produced by the player Plot station.
  • Extending Station Fix-Hack - Override Obstruction Check - You know after you give an order to an architect to expand a station and then just nothing happens at all? well, there's an obstruction check in the NPC_Architect.xml checking for ships in the building area. if the check fails the cue is reset and nothing happens at all. the user isn't also notified unless you edit the debug_text to filter="error" level or some other kind of notice. so I commented the check out and grandma finally starts expanding! guess what ships are in the place of the expanding area, blocking the obstruction check? XS mass traffic ships ...
  • smart miner - Make miners smarter! No longer will your miners just fly randomly around the center of the zone, hoping to bump into an asteroid! (yes, that\'s actually how egosoft programmed them :/ )
    Miners will now make iterative scans starting at 2.5km and increasing with 2.5km each time until they find an asteroid or they reach a scanrange of 60km.
  • Shipyard Capital Repair Fix-Hack - The Shipyard will now repair your Capital Ship!
  • Old style capital shields - Just finished adding full coverage shield to all ships that have a shield generator.

    rebalanced shield stats:
    mk1 shield: 100khp, 3000recharge after 10 seconds without damage
    mk2 shield: 200khp, 4500recharge after 10 seconds without damage
    mk3 shield: 300khp, 6000recharge after 10 seconds without damage

  • WIP - Build Small Ships - This is an attempt to enable building of M and S size ships from the Medium Shipyards in the game, such as the Civ Ship Dockyards in Cuspid Splint.

    Currently, a ship trader spawns in these shipyards and have the appropriate ships on their sales list.

    However, none of the docks are currently considered "free", and no production is possible.

Hi, again... You still didnt add, that People have to check the first .xml file in the MODs. For the Value [ save="false" ] to be on the "save" Side and dont get any corrupted Savefiles. There are still MODs out there were this value is NOT set... and People getting angry about Ego. But its not their fault. So PLEASE add this fact to your Guide. And tell them to check this file out for the value to be set (they can add it by them self if its not in it, it dont change the MOD in anyway. It simply orders the game not to log the MOD in the savefile)

im haveing a problem with the game.. when i play it lags and i just wona play the game it would be so much fun if i could fix the lag
