I want to share my experiences on what I think is more advanced tactics the game doesn't teach you.

General Introduction
I figured I'd try my best to create a guide to tell people small things that the game doesn't teach you, or you wouldn't notice unless you did it yourself. Regardless, I hope you learn something, as my intention is to make sure everyone is playing as optimally as possible.

EDIT: This game doesn't have a ping system. If you don't mind downloading some things, you can see ping using a nifty tool called MLGA.[github.com]
Door Tech
Although one of the more well known tips that seems to be strutting around, Birkin and Mr. X are able to be "door tech'd", the community has started to dub it.

You start in a corner of an open door, and as they're passing into the next room, they get locked into an animation. If you try to squeeze through, you'll manage to get by and force them to go back to hunt you down, locking them into another animation. NOTE: extremely dangerous if there's any zombies inside the room, being grabbed will almost certainly lead to death.
Door Ways
Did you know that staying in the middle of door ways makes the mastermind unable to lock them? If you feel like your friend might get trapped doing a security terminal, stand in the door way so they always have a way to escape if a Bioweapon forces them out.
Mastermind Cameras
If Masterminds change cameras too fast before you kill it, you will not be granted time. If the Mastermind is on the camera as you destroy it, you will be granted time.
Mashing
Another odd trick that many people not realize is that F isn't the only key you can mash. If you mash both F and Space (by default), you will get out of leghold traps and goo much quicker than normal, shaving off almost 2 seconds.

(UPDATE): As of June's update, there is now a cap on how fast you can break out of traps; no matter how fast you mash the button there is a minimum fixed time you will be trapped.

Character Tips
January
Depending on the ability, January can shut down destroyed cameras even longer using her E ability. Her default one will reset the timer, while the unlocked one allows her to hold down E to shut it down for an astounding 15 seconds, allowing you to do what you wish in certain rooms.

Samuel
More well known, but always nice to keep in touch. Samuel's E has a low 2 second cooldown, and doesn't go on cooldown unless you run into a enemy with it. It looks goofy, but adds a little bit of speed to Samuel.

Tyrone
Tyrone should always be the one to go first. One of his first passives is greatly decreasing trap damage, and his upgraded personal skill does more damage to doors. Couple this with having a unique door animation that makes him stand outside of the doorway rather than barging inside, he's an excellent leader.

Jill
Jill's personal ability gives her a quick second of invincibility frames. That means you can step over traps with it and shouldn't worry too much about exploding your team. Not necessarily advanced, but should be in a clever Jill mains head.

Valerie
Although saying it right in the tooltip, Valerie's personal skill makes everyone deal more damage to whatever may be marked. It can speed up kills on Bioweapons or even biocores. Make sure you use it as often as possible!

Not to mention, and I can't stress this enough, Valerie is the only character in the game that can currently remove zombie buffs. It is almost a necessity for higher ranked games to run this skill to combat Daniel and Annette. MQ11 + headshots will remove most buffs from zombies in a quick second, allowing your team to actually deal enough damage to kill it.

Martin
Although a character people consider to be lackluster, I think the exact opposite. He's really strong, with not only one save ability, but potentially two! The flame mine, his second personal skill, can explode and knock Birkin out of his Overkill ability, adding so much more utility.

@Happy New Lag
This may be out-dated since I haven't played since the game first released. Should take these with a grain of salt, now.

I thought I read somewhere that Martin's traps don't work on bosses.

I would add that even though Tyrone takes less damage from traps, he still takes full time off the clock when he gets hit by them. avoiding the traps is still better than tanking them.
