Mod adds new vanilla-balanced QoL items, mainly focusing on consumables or one-time use items rather than weapons or equipment.

Items are crafted in the Item Crafter structure, the engram is learnable at level 10.

Converters

Converters are items that when consumed by a dino, will allow it to transform into another variant of the same species - such as a normal Raptor turning into a Tek Raptor, Aberrant Raptor, or X-Raptor.

A creature must be in its "normal" state first, so you will need to turn it into vanilla first if you want to turn an Aberrant Raptor into an X-Raptor.

Unlike the S+ Mutator (and similar derivatives), the conversion process is nearly flawless and keeps almost all parts of the dino intact - including imprinting, EXP and levels, current inventory, equipped items, painted colors, mutations, dino ancestors, and more. The only major change is custom variables and dino ID, which cannot be kept due to technical limitations.

For mod dinos, support is currently in progress - mods will either need to add their own entries via the mod communication interface or have their entries added directly via class loading. For now, a list of current/WIP compatibility is found below. (Other interested modders should DM me on Discord, I have a template set up for the mod communication interface method)

Current Conversion Mod Compatibility List
- No Untameables (Mod Communication)
- Kraken's Better Dinos (Mod Communication)
- (WIP) Additional Aberrant Dinos (Mod Communication)
- Chasm Additions (Aberrant Deinonychus - Manually added)
- ARK Additions (Collection version, all aberrants/x variants - Manually added)

Egg Darts

Species-specific darts that force a wild version to spawn an egg when a nesting location is available. This is a solution to the issues where you find that one Wyvern that you really would like and no corresponding egg.

A buff is added with particle effects to show it is active - the buff will continue to try spawning an egg until successful, which it will then deactivate and add a permanent cooldown buff. Cooldown buff is visible by a large red X over the floating name when viewing them up close or with a spyglass/ect. This means you cannot force eggs from the same creature multiple times (though this has no effect on the natural egg spawn, just can't be forced via buff again)

Usable on Wyverns, Rock Drakes, Deinonychus, and Magmasaurs. Works on all vanilla versions excluding non-egg laying ones (alphas, corrupted, ect.), mod versions will need to be a child class of the original to work.

While any of the creatures will work for this regardless of spawn location, in order to spawn an egg they must be close enough to a nearby nesting point. This means while you can get an egg from a rock drake in the biolum area, it does have to be kited or carried into the drake trench. This isn't meant to be an easy way around grabbing eggs!

Additionally, there is one egg dart for the No Untameables Leedsichthys - currently not yet craftable though will be in the future, but is now functional. When fully added, it will only show up in the crafter if NU is also installed.

Color Extractor

Are you the kind of person to hoard hundreds (or thousands) of slightly mutated creatures just for the colors? If so, this is the item for you.
The Color Extractor permanently deletes a creature and returns “Color Essences” that can be used on a creature of the exact same species to obtain that color. Up to 6 essences are obtained (depending on used regions) from extraction, and each color is specific to the region it was extracted from. This allows clean transfers of colors without making it too easy to obtain colors (as you can’t extract from something you don’t have)

Colors applied to creatures via color essences are permanent and not just a visual effect - the colors will pass down through breeding and persist on mod removal.

cheat gfi colorextractor 1 0 0
"Blueprint'/Game/Mods/ExtraItems/Misc/PrimalItem_ColorExtractor.PrimalItem_ColorExtractor'"

By default, the Extractor will only work on creatures
- Not wild (Ini configurable)
- Owned by your tribe
- Uses colorization (99% of vanilla & modded creatures aside from things like trilobites)

Configs for preventing use on specific creatures (such as not on babies or unbreedable creatures) are available, see the ini configs section for more.

Fishing Lure

A custom bait that when applied to any vanilla fishing rod, will return live fish instead of fish meat to the player if they have a fish basket in their inventory. Cannot be used without fish baskets, and can catch leeches/lamprey in addition to the normal fish. Has a more randomized attraction time (between 5 and 60 seconds) for more realistic fishing experience, and a much larger attraction range. Prioritizes advanced baskets in inventory over normal baskets.

"Blueprint'/Game/Mods/ExtraItems/Misc/Fishing/PrimalItem_FishLure.PrimalItem_FishLure'"

Light Fish Net/Advanced Fish Net

Fish Net that returns live fish to the player if they have fish baskets in their inventory. Max number of fish in net is determined by the number of baskets in the player's inventory, and cannot be used without baskets in inventory. Can catch any water dino that is normally trap-tameable. Prioritizes advanced baskets in inventory over normal baskets.

The advanced verison is the same thing, but more expensive and infinite use.

Advanced Fish Basket

An alternative to the vanilla fish basket. Metal tier structure settings, re-useable (must empty the filled basket to re-use), no spoil timer, keeps all persistent buffs, and grants taming effectiveness levels to newly tamed fish.

cheat gfi FishBasket_Advanced 1 0 0
"Blueprint'/Game/Mods/ExtraItems/Structures/FishBasket/PrimalItemStructure_FishBasket_Advanced.PrimalItemStructure_FishBasket_Advanced'"

Bald Costume

cheat gfi bald 1 0 0
"Blueprint'/Game/Mods/ExtraItems/Costumes/PrimalItemCostume_Bald.PrimalItemCostume_Bald'"

Seeds

Note that no further seeds are being added after these - these resources do not have any other passive generation method (eg. gachas, crops) and several are map-exclusive.

- Cactus Seeds (cheat gfi seed_cactus 1 0 0)
- Aggeravic Mushroom Spores (cheat gfi seed_aggeravic 1 0 0)
- Aquatic Mushroom Spores (cheat gfi seed_aquatic 1 0 0)
- Ascerbic Mushroom Spores (cheat gfi seed_ascerbic 1 0 0)
- Auric Mushroom Spores (cheat gfi seed_auric 1 0 0)
- Rare Flower Seeds (cheat gfi seed_rareflower 1 0 0)
- Rare Mushroom Spores (cheat gfi seed_raremushroom 1 0 0)

- Bonus: Plant Species Z Variant Seed (cheat gfi z_variant 1 0 0)

Plant Z Variant

Essentially the Wild version of the Plant Species Z - does not produce fruit, but does spit seeds and passively heal when a player is standing nearby.
This variant of the Plant Species Z needs to be kept separate from eachother, similar to gachas - if two are placed too close together, they will both close up until the other plant is removed. (Range of detecting other plants is larger than their healing range, so no you cannot stack them for rapid healing.)
Stupid
Useless Items
All of these items are disabled by default, meaning an ini config is requires to enabled them. None of these are actually useful, just mildly amusing at best. These items all only work on players and cannot be remotely used on other players (only yourself). The majority are negative effects.

How to change the crafting cost of items

Unlike mod configs, this code is vanilla and goes in Game.ini under [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]. Each item uses its own line.

As an example, we'll look at changing the cost of the Tek converter, first to cost 100 Blue Gems or Blue Crystallised Sap, 30 fiber and 50 obsidian, second only 100 Blue Gems, 30 Fiber and 50 Obsidian, and third just remove the giga heart requirement.

ItemClassString=, is the classname of the item you're changing the cost of, with _C on the end. Classname must be contained in quotes ""
You'll have one ResourceItemTypeString section for each item you want the item you're changing the cost of, to cost. For each item,
ResourceItemTypeString= is the item's classname, and it must end in _C. Classname must be contained in quotes ""
BaseResourceRequirement= is the amount of that item it will cost
bCraftingRequireExactResourceType= determines whether any item that is a child class of the specified item can be used as a replacement (set false), or if only the exact item specified can be used (set true). Usually, you'll want to keep this False.

To find an item's classname:
For vanilla items, you can find them on https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Item_IDs

For modded items, look for a list of items or spawn codes. You can also find it by searching for the item in the mod's files, in Steamapps>Common>Ark>Shootergame>Content>Mods>[Mod ID], and finding the item's file. Remeber to add _C to the end, the filename will not contain it (if it does, add a second _C)

You can also find a classname from a BP Path. For example, from the Tek Converter's BP Path, the part in bold is the classname. Don't forget to add _C, BP paths do not have it.
Blueprint'/Game/Mods/ExtraItems/Consumables/DinoEffects/PrimalItemConsumable_Converter_Bionic.PrimalItemConsumable_Converter_Bionic

Example 1- Cost 100 blue gems or blue crystallised sap, 30 fiber and 50 obsidian:

ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_Converter_Bionic_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Gem_BioLum_C",BaseResourceRequirement=100.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Fibers_C",BaseResourceRequirement=30.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Obsidian_C",BaseResourceRequirement=50.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False)))

Example 2- Cost 100 blue gems and not consume blue crystalised sap, 30 fiber and 50 obsidian:

ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_Converter_Bionic_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Gem_BioLum_C",BaseResourceRequirement=100.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=True),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Fibers_C",BaseResourceRequirement=30.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Obsidian_C",BaseResourceRequirement=50.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False)))

Example 3- Remove giga heart requirement. Removing an item will require you to rewrite the item's crafting cost.

ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_Converter_Bionic_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_BlackPearl_C",BaseResourceRequirement=100.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Crystal_C",BaseResourceRequirement=250.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Electronics_C",BaseResourceRequirement=250.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Element_C",BaseResourceRequirement=40.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_MetalIngot_C",BaseResourceRequirement=500.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Polymer_C",BaseResourceRequirement=150.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=False)))
