Introduction
This guide is a work in progress.

Most of the achievements have been covered in this guide; some are self-explanatory, whilst others needed some research.

The multiplayer achievements can be difficult to get, as the player base is relatively small, but you may be able to arrange games with fellow players by using the Steam discussions or the developer's forum (link provided at the end of the guide).

I have been unable to get the hard AI achievements so far, but will add those when I can.

Those achievements which I have been unable to obtain have been marked as "TBA" (To Be Advised); hopefully I will be able to update this guide with more answers later on.

Total achievements: 27

(If this guide was of interest to you, then please rate it upwards.)
General achievements
Welcome Luxer
Win a game.
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode.

-- The easiest map I've played so far in single-player mode was the Finland map, so you could give that one a try - however, getting this achievement is easy when you play the game in the normal course of events, so just let it happen in its own time.

Double Kill
Eliminate 2 players in one turn
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode.

-- See the tactics mentioned in the "Quint Kill" section ("Eliminate all 5 other players in one turn").

Downloadr
Download a map plugin
-- In the top-middle of the game's start-up box, there is a button called "Maps & Plugins", click on that, then choose a map from the list which pops up, and click on the "Install" button at the bottom-right of the pop-up list.

Explorer
Win 10 different maps.
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode.
Just play ten different maps from the game's list, and win them.

There is a cheap and easy way of getting this achievement very quickly, which is mentioned in the notes for the "Centurion" achievement - but, seriously, don't do it, just play the maps and enjoy yourself.

Quint Kill
Eliminate all 5 other players in one turn
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode. This can be done on many maps.

-- I did it on the "WWII Europe Redux" map. The Russians (located at the far right of the map) easily overpowered all of the other players. I had 3 players on my side (I chose the category of "Human" for them), and there were three AI players (I allocated them the category of "Angry").

To do this, I boxed each of the three AI players into a corner, leaving them just one spot (don't let them have one with sea access, as they'll try to expand by using a navy), and surrounded them with lots of units so they couldn't get out.

Then whittle your two allies down to almost nothing, and then box them into one spot as well (even though they're your allies, you can attack them and take over their positions). If any of them are building up too much, you can attack them a bit to reduce their numbers (but be very careful, as you don't want to accidentally wipe them out).

When all of the other 5 players are reduced to just one position each, and surrounded by your massive armies, attack each of them in the one turn, wipe them out, and occupy their positions. All done.

Note: Apparently you can play as all 6 players, which would make getting this achievement very easy; just play a game in single-player mode, and mark all 6 players as human - but where's the fun in doing that?

Castle Voxer
Become aware of Lux's sister, the team-based simultaneous-turns game Castle Vox
-- For this achievement, bear in mind that apparently "Castle Vox" is now known as "Lux Alliance" (otherwise it may be a bit confusing).

-- All you have to do is go to the Lux Delux start-up box, click on the button marked "Expansion Games" (near the bottom-right of the box), which will initiate a pop-up box with links to other Lux games, and click on the "Lux Alliance" link. Simple.

(Don't go looking for a game called "Castle Vox", despite the achievement's description.)

Blitzkrieger
Win a game in 5 rounds or less
-- This was quite easy to do on the Finland map in single-player mode (it's a four-player map), with three "Human" players (all directed by you) versus one AI player. I did it in three rounds on my first try.

Centurion
Win 100 games
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode.
However, it can take quite a while to play 100 games.

-- If you are really desperate to get this, you could save a single-player game, just before you won it, and then keep on reloading the game and play the finishing round over and over again - but if you are intending to get all of the achievements, then there would be no point to doing this, as you'll get this one in due course anyway, when you get the "Conquistador" achievement (Win 100 different maps).

Large Division
Divide a large army using the 2-9 divisor hotkeys
-- Divide your large army (over 100 units) into several parts by clicking on the army and pressing one of the number keys on your keyboard, from 2 to 9, then click into the spots you want the divided army to go (I did this during the "fortify" phase of my turn).

-- The game tells you how to do this in the instructions section:
"Hold down one of the 2-9 keys and click on countries to divide your army group into equal parts. For example, hold down the 3 key and click 3 times to divide your army placement into thirds."

Zero Hotkey
Decimate a large army down to 1 using the Z-click hotkey
-- Whilst holding down the "Z" key on your keyboard, click on an enemy position with over 100 units in its army. If you have an overwhelming force, you can destroy all of the visible enemy units (using the "Z" key means that your units won't automatically try to move in to the enemy's position), which will leave the enemy position blank - however, technically, each blank position is deemed to contain one enemy unit, so therefore you can get the achievement.

-- I did this in single-player mode, using a game in which I had overwhelming forces on the map at the end of the game (I used the "WWII Europe Redux" map, as mentioned previously). To be sure of getting the achievement, I saved the game beforehand (just in case a mistake was made).

Make sure that the "enemy" is one that you control, not an AI enemy - that way you can make sure that your "enemy" doesn't attack you, but keeps on building up its numbers until it gets to over 100 units (whereas an AI army might just keep on attacking you).

I boxed the enemy army into one position, with my overwhelming army adjacent, and kept on building up both armies until the enemy had over 100 units, and then (after saving the game once more, just in case) I attacked by using the "Z" key.
Map achievements
Conquistador
Win 100 different maps.
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode (although it would be a grind).

As well as the standard maps, there are extra (free) maps you can download via the "Maps & Plugins" button which is located in the top-middle of the game's start-up box (the details are mentioned in the notes above for the "Downloadr" achievement).

However, obviously, it can take quite a while to play 100 maps.

-- Note that the expansion maps (the Ancient Empires Lux campaign and the American History Lux campaign) do not count towards this total.

Emperor
Win 500 different maps
-- Easy enough to do, especially in single-player mode (although it would be a massive grind to accomplish).

The game on Steam currently has 1058 maps (29 April 2020).

Note: Make sure you click on the "Everything" tab on the maps "Plugin Manager" to show the list of over 1000 maps, as the "Top Rated" tab will only show 267 maps (26 April 2020).

-- I tested the two expansion campaigns (the Ancient Empires Lux campaign and the American History Lux campaign) and found that the maps I won in those campaigns did not count towards the total for this achievement.

Cartographer
Craft a map into the Plugin Manager
-- Players can submit their own maps for the game; if they are considered good enough, then the developer will add them to the list of maps.

The developer has said, in a Steam discussion:
"For the Cartographer achievement, you must get a map approved into the Plugin Manager. That means making one of high enough quality, then submitting it and having it get approved."
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/341950/discussions/0/360671247404410303/

-- To make a map, see the "Map Tutorial" page on the Sillysoft wiki site:

https://sillysoft.net/wiki/?Map%20Tutorial

-- Maps can be voted on by players, giving them a rating of up to 5 stars. The average rating shows on the list of maps, which gives players an idea of which maps are most popular.
Hard AI achievements
Fear the Reaper
Beat 4 Reaper AIs
-- TBA
(Beating one Reaper AI is hard enough, let alone four.)

-- In the Steam discussions, the developer said:
"Lux has sweet A.I.s for you. It comes with 10 different A.I. personalities of Easy, Medium, and Hard. Then there are a number of other A.I.s available to download from inside the game.

The two strongest are Reaper and BotOfDoom. They are both highly evolved in strategy, popping continents and making kills, etc.

None of the A.I.s cheat or have different dice then humans do.

Reapers include teaming abilities for extra challenge. By default they team up with other Reapers, although this behaviour can be controlled by chat commands."

Don't fear the Reaper
Beat 5 Reaper AIs
-- TBA
(Beating one Reaper AI is hard enough, let alone five.)

Survive Full Doom
Win a game against 5 BotOfDoom AIs
-- TBA

Ancient Empires King
Beat the Ancient Empires Lux campaign on King difficulty or higher
-- TBA

American History Major
Beat the American History Lux campaign on Major difficulty or higher
-- TBA

Note 1: In the Steam discussions, some information has been provided on how to beat the Iraq War map:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/341950/discussions/0/620712999977361719/

Note 2: If your screen graphics start to get all choppy (duplicating sections of the screen, over and over), whilst playing the Ancient Empires or American History campaigns, try turning off the steam overlay.
Multi-player achievements (PVP)
The following are the multi-player (or Player Versus Player) achievements:

Online Luxer
Win a multi-player online game
-- Play some multi-player games online, and if you win one match, you'll get this achievement.

Online Lux Centurion
Win 100 multi-player online games
-- Play lots of multi-player games online, and if you win 100 matches, you'll get this achievement.

Online Lux Contender
Win an online full-house game
-- This can be done in a private match or a public match.
(I got this achievement in a private match of 6 players.)

Online Lux Champion
Win 100 online full-house games
-- This must be done in public matches. When I got the "Lux Contender" achievement ("Win an online full-house game") it didn't count towards the "Online Lux Champion" tally, as I won that game in a private match.

To get this achievement would take a massive effort, assuming that you can find enough people online to play with, and then beat them 100 times.

Full House Biohazard
Win an online 6 human game on the Biodeux map
-- Play the Biodeux map online (in a match with six actual people) - and, if you win the match, you'll get this achievement.
-- Apparently this needs to be done in a public match (which presumably also applies to the other "6 human game" map-specific achievements).

Full House Classic
Win an online 6 human game on the Classic map
-- Play the Classic map online (in a match with six actual people) - and, if you win, you'll get this achievement.

Full House Expletus
Win an online 6 human game on the Imperium Romanum Expletus map
-- Play the Imperium Romanum Expletus map online (in a match with six actual people) - and, if you win, you'll get this achievement.

Full House Map of the Month
Win an online 6 human game on the Map of the Month
-- TBA

Tourney Champion
Win an Online Tournament
-- TBA

Note: The developer has advised that the tournament host names in the Network Game list will be in a bold font.
