Description
SS Amber is the fourth ship owned by the Gem Line. SS Amber is the fourth in a quintuplet class. She had a long career. She met her fate in 1912 when she was resold. After the Titanic sank, more lifeboats were installed making the ship unstable. On her first Post-Titanic voyage, she capsized within minutes of departing port. Only 2 passengers were killed.
