Description
RMS Tourmaline was the first Gem Star Liner to gain the title Royal Mail Ship. The ship was successful and a sister was ordered after her Maiden Voyage. She was sold off to Daniels Line and renamed "Jackal". She ran aground off of North Harbour during a cruise in her late 1920's. She sank with no fatalities. She was the first of the Tourmaline Class.
