However there is the risk that meanwhile some other players would land in that space and pick the followers..
For Arnkell vs Cloak of Feathers, the overwhelming majority of people online play with the "random treasures" house rule. So you will get arnkell much easier than you would get cloak of feathers.
Also you can go in highland from the beginning (for some characters) and then defeat eagle king to finish the ascension - you can also stay a bit near eagle king area to farm the 3 cards spaces. Highland is much nicer than dungeon when it comes to farming early on. This is much harder to do with the dungeon unless your character is already very strong (mid to late game) - combined with the Random Treasures house rule, I think I only saw a Cloak of Feathers play once among all the matches i've played.
But yes, if you can go for cloak of feathers, it's better than arnkell.
Bound by Fate: If you have Light Fate greater than Dark Fate you are Lightbound, Dark Fate greater than Light Fate you are Darkbound, equal amounts of Dark and Light Fate above zero you are Unbound, no Fate you are Fateless
Bound by Alignment: If you are Good and have Fate you are Lightbound, Neutral and have Fate you are Unbound, Evil and have fate you are Darkbound, no Fate you are Fateless
Bound by Destiny: If you have more Light Destinies than Dark Destinies you are Lightbound, more Dark Destinies than Light Destinies you are Darkbound, an equal amount of Light and Dark Destinies you are Unbound, no Fate you are Fateless
When encountering a Woodlands card with different effects for how you are bound, if you are Unbound you get neither! If you are Fateless you get the bottom one on the card, which is usually not as good!
