Before launching Zed, have another window open, such as Google Chrome or Steam Library window, make sure your caps lock light is off, and then launch Zed. All you have to do is press caps lock when in first person view. Your keyboard caps lock light should be on. This should have the player character running instead of walking without holding shift. Press alt+tab. This should switch to your other window you had open before starting Zed. Press caps lock again. Your keyboard caps lock light should be off. Press alt+tab again to go back to Zed. You should be able to permanently run despite the caps lock light turned off. You should have been able to desync the caps lock light with running in Zed.

It would be nice to just have a toggle to run by not holding shift down but simply by pressing shift to turn on and press again to turn off the run mode.
