Wood
Wood is the foundation of your village, almost all buildings require wood for their construction.

Production Methods:
1) Sawmill mining.
2) Extraction from wood as logs.
3) Mining from buildings as a demolition.
4) Collection using resource booths.

Need:
1) The construction of buildings.
2) Heating buildings.
3) Coal production.

Note!
You need several sawmills at once, for a comfortable game, since at the late stage of the game you will need a lot of wood.

Stone
Stone is the second, a lot of important resource for the construction of advanced buildings in your village, which provides you with the opportunity to build stronger and more stable buildings.

Production Methods:
1) Mining from a stone crusher.
2) Stone mining as loot.
3) Mining from buildings as a demolition.

Need:
1) The construction of buildings.
2) The construction of the walls.

Note:
To completely enclose the base with a wall, you need a stone.

Food
Food is what you are doomed to failure without. Without food, your settlers will not last long, so keep an eye on its quantity to prevent its shortage.

Production Methods:
1) Mushroom picking from the surroundings.
2) Collection using resource booths.
3) Growing food in greenhouses.
4) Hunting meat.
5) Departure of settlers for raids.

Need:
1) Buying food from looters.
2) Food for residents.
3) Food production in the kitchen.

Note!
Build about three greenhouses from the very beginning of the game, in the future combine them with the kitchen, increasing the effectiveness of food.

Metal
Metal is a sought-after thing in the construction and production of weapons, most in demand in the middle stages of the game.

Production Methods:
1) Departure of settlers for raids.
2) Collection using resource booths.

Need:
1) The construction of buildings.
2) The construction of the walls.
3) The creation of weapons and ammunition.

Note:
We recommend storing metal reserves from the very beginning of the game, this is one of the most sought after materials in the future.

Polymers
Polymers are on par with the need for metal, they are used in all industrial buildings that you need at almost all stages of the game.

Production Methods:
1) Collection in the form of garbage bags on the territory.
2) Collection using resource booths.
3) Departure of settlers in raids for resources.

Need:
1) Construction of buildings.

Note:
For the advanced industry of your village you need a lot of polymers, do not forget about them when assigning mining priority.

Electronics
Electronics is used in the later stages of the game, for the construction of industrial buildings.

Production Methods:
1) Collection using resource booths.

Need:
1) Construction of a level 3 greenhouse.

Note:
We recommend collecting about 6 pieces of electronics in order to forget about the need for this material for the rest of the period.

Gasoline
Gasoline is necessary for heating a narrow circle of buildings, at the late stage of the game.
Production Methods:
1) Collection using resource booths.
2) In armed raids.
3) Extraction from cans as loot.

Need:
1) It is necessary for the operation of a level 3 greenhouse.
2) It is necessary for heating a house of 3 levels.

Note:
Accumulate gasoline throughout the game, at the end it will come in handy.

Coal
Coal is in demand starting from the middle stage of the game. It is needed for heating buildings for your residents.

Production Methods:
1) Using a stone crusher.
2) When mining from an incinerator.

Need:
1) It is necessary for heating all buildings at sub-zero temperatures.

Note:
In the absence of coal, a huge amount of wood is consumed for heating, for the sake of economy, study this building.

An important part of the game, not in the tutorial is the Laws system which you can spend Law points for overall major game changing traits depending on which Law tree you invest in.

Final tip; don't underestimate having a few Market buildings. These provide food to close by units (so don't build them too far from static defence or they WILL run all the way there for food), and also cash which is better to trade with the merchant traveller rather than giving him your precious ammo/guns.

Overall awesome game, didn't realise 33 hours flew by as I build my settlement over the last few days.

A few things to note:

Soldiers have toggleable actions which they will do automatically, some are toggled on as default when you assign a new soldier. One such action is the "Chase enemies out into dangerous terrain" button, usually assigned to the 'F' Hotkey. Be sure to toggle this off.

Another thing to notice is the "equip better gear, even if it's an RPG" button, this is first come first serve, you could take hours equipping every combat unit with their specific sets, or just mass produce assault rifles and let them autoequip those.

Who thought it was a good idea to have half the resources be finite?

this drives me nuts. why are the military guys always running away! Also I cannot consistently get them to board a truck. Is there a special trick I missed? Other then that, this game is quite good fun.

I am not sure where to post suggestions so if the owner of this could answer me...
Anyways, it would be really cool to add a better combat system. I am not sure if you are familiar with the cover system of CoH 2. Would be great that if you, for example, stand behind a vehicle, a "Green Shield" appeared under your soldier and your soldier recieved like 50% less damage, and if you are in a smaller cover item, the shield would be yellow and 25% less damage.

Also would be great being able to target enemies instead of letting your soldiers in your own, thus you could kite more easily if you had a sniper rifle.

Apart from the above, would be cool:

-More vehicles and maybe an aircraft like a Helicopter
-A key for highlighting pickable items
-More research related with science and farming.

To sum up, the most important thing currently is to rework the combat system. Thanks if you got here!
