Introduction
In this guide, you'll find the different conditions regarding the route splits in both Langrisser I and II.
I've tried to keep this guide as spoiler-free as possible but some of these conditions do contain some spoilers such as character names you'll face on a map and so on.

The conditions in Langrisser I are a lot simpler than the ones in Langrisser II, as you'll see below.
The main difference is that, in Langrisser I, the route split conditions occurs in the map where the split will take place.
In Langrisser II, however, there may be a condition that is required for a route split that you had to fulfill several maps earlier.

Ok, I see what you mean ;)

Hey there, not at all, my pleasure to help. I was feeling a bit sleepy when I wrote this comment last night, so I think I could've done better. I just wanted to add that the reinforcements have to be killed first (leaving both Egbert and Bernhardt alive, as you've stated). Because after Leon is defeated and escapes, Bernhardt asks Elwin that question, and if the player selects that third answer that you've pointed, he asks for Egbert to leave as awell, staying all by himself

Keep up the good work :greenlike:

Thank you, I'll update my guide accordingly.

Thank you for the guide, just one observation: On the route "L", scenario 19 (after you've defeated Bernhardt on scenario 17), you can't kill Egbert before Leon shows up, otherwise, you won't be prompted with that multiple choice question.

Well, I used the terms used in the game itself. When you check the route "map", you can see on which route you are. If I used the terms "Light Path" (A & B in Langrisser I for example), not only people who didn't know the original would be confused instead but it will slightly spoil the path itself.
Chenni 17 May, 2020 @ 1:48pm
confusing. :/

IIRC when I played Der Langrisser way back, you can either go Light Path, Imperial, Independent, or Chaos Path. None of this Route <insert letter here>.

Hoping there's more context than just "Route <insert letter here>".
