Descripción
Calculates distance, angle and gps coordinates of a sending antenna (any type)
  • very precise location of sender antenna
  • you can use medium, large or huge antennas or video receivers, but always use the same type.
  • the sender antenna type does not matter (IMPORTANT: Video antenna receivers should have at least a space of 3m between them!!!)

Important Note
Make sure that the compass is placed correctly (see example below).

No, handheld radios do not work like the other radio antennas.

is there also a version that works with handheld radio's that outputs the coords from the player using the handheld radio?

Yes

How exactly is the distance between antennas calculated? Does it use signal strength?
CrazyFluffyPony  [autor] 2 FEB 2022 a las 10:14 a. m.
you could. 4 antennas and two of this workshop item, connected together correctly.

can you do all 3 axes at the same time though?

oh thank you. that is soo unbelievably helpful. Thanks

You can do that by yourself. By default, the axis of the triangulation are x and y (horizontal on a map).

If you put e.g. the y antenna 10 blocks above the center antenna (instead of 10 blocks in front of the antenna), then your "x" value is now the altitude value, while your "y" value is still the horizontal distance.

ok thank you. i just spaced them out my 3m and they are working better. I know you dont play SW much anymore (from lua site) but could you possibly make a version that also tells you the altitude of the target also? that would be nice if could be done
