@AuntyDonna Just behind-the-scenes, you still use the tanning vats.

@Dametri Ah ok, cool. Does it change simple chains to actually use the barrel from universal fermenter or is it just a behind the scenes code change, meaning we still use the tanning vats?

@AuntyDonna Without this patch, running Simple Chains: Leather + a mod that requires Syr's UF will cause compatibility issues. Also, UF greatly improves the performance of "fermenters" (like leather tanning vats); without it, they can cause serious lag in any great number.

Is there some technical reason why this is beneficial or is it more of an aesthetic/convenience thing? (I have no idea)

@Vintage Fruitcake Aaah you're right, I totally forgot that there are patches in Simple Chains: Leather itself. Fixed now.

Hey, so I tried this out, and the tanning vats were missing prepared aerofleet, arctic lion, and gallatross hides.
