Description
With the Northern Winds comes a plague across the ocean waves, a plague of violence and debauchery: The Northmen of Norsca.



Hello and welcome to yet another of my "Soft" Overhaul mods, this time focusing on the Wrathful Northmen!

Theres quite a few QoL changes in here so it would be quite a list to fill out, so here are some highlights:

*All secondary building requirements for unlocking units have been removed, instead of that the buildings that used to unlock units now give factionwide buffs at max rank, besides their usual bonuses.

*If you have Warden and the Paunch and/or Warriors of Chaos installed, Throgg gains new greenskin trolls and Wulfrik gains some units from the Warriors of Chaos roster! These are mutually exclusive, play Throgg get trolls, play Wulfrik, get the new WoC units.


To be more specific, Throgg gains the new River and Stone trolls, while Wulfrik gains Gorebeast Chariots and Hellcannons. Hellcannons use a cap system to retain the more melee centric build that Norsca goes for and is available in the smith building line at tier 5. Gorebeast chariots are available in the same building line at tier 4, without any cap of course.

Armoured Chaos Trolls are available to both lords still.


*Speaking of trolls (and everything else), they are easier to acquire and recruit, both in your main norscan provinces but also abroad. Throgg's troll skills have been expanded and they (and any other thing that boosts trolls) will also affect your new trolls!

*Balefiends will also be easier to acquire, as they will now be available at tier 3 rather than 4.

*There are some new techs that give wonderful benefits based on who you play, as Wulfrik you can empower your Marauder's fury into a frenzy and as Throgg, you will find your trolls never tire.These techs come with a hefty cost to promote a more mid-game introduction of them.

*Normal Chieftans gain a melee tree as well as their God Choices tree.

*Norscan Garrisons have been upgraded, no more will you sit in woe and despair as your tier 5 settlements at home or abroad are populated by the village idiots. This applies to Most Settlements and buildings that give garrison forces.
All this and more!



Should work with most mods, however i do not use SFO/Lucky's/Radious etc so i have not specifically tried to make it work with those kinds of mods, give it a try if you're not sure and if it does not work just disable this if you prefer those mods.

Should also be savegame compatible, but for the best experience, start a new campaign!

Hi, I was tweaking this mod for my personal use when I discovered some unique identifiers larger than 2147483647 in building_level_armed_citizenry_junctions_tables and cdir_events_dilemma_payloads_tables.

I'm not sure exactly what this could cause in WH2/3 but my understanding is that integer overflow can result in unexpected behavior. I thought you'd like to know in any case.

Nice mod though! Poor Norsca needs some love.

Anyone else having issues with razing settlements but not gaining Gods' favour?

im currently running 61 mods for coop, pretty stable and no desync problems, but im just talking about when some mods updates they break the saves for some reason :P but thanks for the reply, i might try it on a separate save then :)

COOP campaigns are infamously unstable and i cannot truly speak for them in this regard.

It will be a choice that's up to you.

Given how Warhammer 2 is more or less done and we have a mere 3 months left until Warhammer 3 the likely hood of me updating this is rather low.

how often do you update this? as someone mentioned this mod broke their coop campaign im afraid of installing it, i don't feel like having a broke campaign as i play mostly coop :P

Mod is updated and there are some new functions!

Outposts have lost their need for Growth points and all buildings (besides the port) will only take 1 turn to build, there are also new benefits to the Utility buildings to make them more attractive like being able to recruit Shamans (no extra ranks or extra caps) oor making your enemies Winded if they are in the same region as the Outpost building. Gold costs have been raised to compensate for this but are still relatively cheap.

Defeating a Warlord will now have more weightier options outside of Confederating, Release them and gain some Gold, better diplomatic standing and a random item/follower. Or kill them, and give the Hound its share for a portion of his strength..
