Act 1, Part 1: Down to an Alien World
Start the game and enjoy some lovely cut-scenes.

When you have control, Pick up the BOOK in the foreground to the left of the red button and USE it on the terminal.

Enjoy several more cutscenes! When they are done, We find ourselves on an alien planet! After an… exhaustive customs process, we are off to the races!

TAKE a tourism leaflet from the edge of the desk. This will help us get around (examine it in your inventory). Make sure to exhaust all dialogue with the customs officer here as well, otherwise certain dialogue options will be unavailable elsewhere.

Our first stop is the ROBO-BAR. Pick up the ROCK on the left. We don’t get to keep the rock, but we can take the WORM from beneath it. The bouncer will not let us in without a membership.

Next up, hit up the dealership. Speak to the lovely saleswoman and snag a PEN from her desk. We are too poor for a speeder, which we need to get to the dump.

The Marketplace is now open! Visit it and you will see two aliens speaking in gibberish. At some point, the red alien on the right leaves his post. When its back is turned, shoplift a FLASH GRENADE. Sharp-eyed adventure players may also notice the mysterious pixel near his ammo crate! It is a fun little Easter egg.

Hop into the bank to the right of the stall and you will lose the grenade, but gain 300 galactic credits! NOTE: it is possible to steal another, but you won’t be needing it.

Feel free to check out the other stores here, but there’s not much we can do there for now.

On the other side of the marketplace, TAKE a FAN CLUB APPLICATION from the table and fill it out with the PEN.

Also, stoop into the storeroom with a low door and USE the worm on the GLOW PAINT to get GLOW WORM.

Head back on over to the CUSTOMS OFFICE and USE the COMPLETED APPLICATION on the MAILBOX. Also, USE the GLOW WORM on the customs officer and lift his CONTRABAND DETECTOR.

Head back to the MARKETPLACE and USE the CONTRABAND DETECTOR on the stall where you got the grenade. TAKE the box of JELLY ALIENS from the floor when the merchant’s back is turned.

Head on in to the shop to the left and USE the JELLY ALIENS on the blobby shopkeep.
TAKE the ROBOBAR MEMBERSHIP CARD from the floor. Ick!

Head into the ROBO-BAR and have a talk with the barkeep. Take the CASTOR OIL.

Head to the right and enter the Robo-Music Competition. You are given 20K credits. The only catch is we have to win the competition. We also have to find some H20 for the DJ. We can now afford a speeder!

Head back over to the showroom and buy yourself a speeder. On to the dump!
Act 1, Part 2: Getting through the Dump and Off this Lousy Planet
Try to enter the dump. Oops! It turns out we need proper attire to get into the dump.

Head back to the marketplace side B and USE the castor oil on the fountain to get some WATER.
Also head in to the haberdashery to the left and USE the 300 credits on the shopkeep for a SAFETY VEST.

Head back to the ROBO-BAR and give the WATER to the DJ for a HARD HAT.
USE the HARD HAT with the JACKET to get a SAFETY UNIFORM

Back to the dump!

USE the SAFETY UNIFORM on the security pylon for access. We need to get around in our speeder, though. You will get a sub-map with several locations.

First, head to the STRANGE OBJECT. Take FEMUR. The MEMBERSHIP CARD will also be here if you sent the application earlier.

Next, visit the WRECKAGE in the lower right. Open the QUADCORDER in your inventory and set it to RECORD mode. USE it on the SPARKS for MELODY. Also, use FEMUR on the LOOSE PANEL near the top of the starship for a METAL SHEET and one of my favorite moments in the game.

Heading up to the location in the upper left part of the map, use your METAL SHEET on the OIL DRIP and then record it with your QUADCORDER for a nice BEAT.

We can't do anything in the fourth location yet.

However, With your fan-club membership in hand, we can now access the energy emporium next to the bank in the marketplace.

In order to get stuff working, we need to solve a color puzzle! We are given this poem:

I gaze up at the Arcturan Skyline
Then At-A-Prime Example Not Contained In It
A Noxius Emerald Cloud Begins to Surround Me
In Tears I rub my Bloodshot Eyes
The Stinging Smell of Sulphur overwhelms me
I lose consciousness… all is lost.


Each wheel starts and stops spinning when clicked; you need to line up the correct colors with the holes.

Clockwise from the lower left, the puzzle solution is GREEN YELLOW PURPLE RED YELLOW BLACK

If you make a mistake when entering the solution, any wheel you got wrong will spin and any wheel that was correct will remain still.

You get a chance to send the energy to various places for some fun easter eggs and a hint for a future puzzle but the correct location is sending it to LOST.

Return to the dump and visit the wreckage in the upper right. Record it with the QUADCORDER for a nice RYTHYM. This is the third thing we need!

Back to the ROBO-BAR. Speak to the DJ to enter and win the competition.

After a wild party, Two-Eyed Tina is now hanging around the fan-club booth. Talk to her and she is happy to vouch for you!

Also, pay a visit to the place where you solved the energy puzzle for a free PHIAL OF ENERGY

At the customs office, tell the officer about Tina and you can finally contact your ship. Bribe the officer with the PHIAL OF ENERGY for TRANSPORT TAGS.

Check in with ZB on comms, then head over to the short door in the marketplace to meet your shady contact.

Act 2, Part One: This Guide Can Give You a Hand With That.
We are now back on our ship! Unfortunately, we are stuck in orbit. Fortunately, this section of the game has my favorite puzzles!

Access the REPLICATOR and rob it blind!

We get DARJEELING TEA, CEYLON TEA, ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA, CHOCO SLUDGE, CHEESE CRUNCHIES, and a MARSHMELLOW BRICK.

Head left and snag the GOLD SPRAYCAN on the floor.

Try to use the hand-scanner to open the door – we are not approved! Take PRINTOUT.

Head downstairs. Take the OILY RAG and the STAPLER from the closet.

LOOK at the printout and USE the OILY RAG, CHEESE CRUNCHES, CHOCO SLUDGE, and STAPLER on your palm.

The first three things work, but the STAPLER is broken. LOOK at the stapler for a phone number.

Call the number on your communicator. The stapler now works, but we need an anastatic before we can use it!

The motor does not work; we need fuel. The recipe is in our bedroom, which we can’t get to right now.

LOOK at your QUADCORDER and change the MODE to MAGNET MODE. USE the QUADCORDER on the DUST in the basement for an IRON RING.

Use the SPRAYCAN on the ring for GOLD RING.

Click on the COOLANT PIPE to the left of the fuel machine a few times until your hand goes numb.

Use the STAPLER and RING on your hand to complete this puzzle!

Go to your BEDROOM.
Act 2, Part 2: Rocket Fuel
In your bedroom, TAKE FIZZY DRINK, BLUE CUP, and NOTE under your pillow. Hit the SHOWER DOOR CONTROL and take SOAP.

Head to the basement and fill the BLUE CUP with DUST. USE this on the TELEPORTER and grab the FUEL CAN from the closet while the broom is busy. Let’s make some rocket fuel.

Here is our fuel recipe:

The Old English Gentleman had breakfast at 10:30; the humidity was 40%. He started with a slice of Petrified Pizza and a hint of H2C03. He seasoned it with glittering turmeric and garnished with a purple firefly.

Old English Gentleman: Nuke the Earl Grey at ten minutes and thirty seconds on power level 40 in the microwave on the bridge.

Pizza: Take the flying pizza which is now near your captain’s chair. Take it over and USE it on the aquarium and petrify it with JAWS. Take SLICE.

H2CO3: We already have a fizzy drink. Set the QUADCORDER to BOTTLE OPENER MODE and open it. You get an OPEN DRINK and a BOTTLE CAP.

Glistening turmeric: Fill the BLUE MUG with another cup of DUST from the basement and then paint it gold using the SPRAYCAN.

Purple Firefly: USE both of the cards in your inventory on the GLOW WORM to make wings. USE the PEN on this monstrosity to make the wings purple.

Combine all ingredients in the FUEL CAN, dump it in the INPUT VALVE, and hit the lever!

Now we’re off… or not!

We still need to return the Contraband detector. Head down to the teleporter controls and discover that they are broken.

Call ZB on comms and get your next task. We need to jettison the detector.

Head up to the storage room and look at the suitcase-looking TRUNK.

USE QUADCORDER (in bottle opener mode) on LATCH

Place CONTRABAND DETECTOR in TRUNK

Place MARSHMELLOW BRICK in GLASS BOTTLE

Use SOAP on BEACON PORT.

Use MARSHMELLOW IN BOTTLE on BEACON PORT.

Set QUADCORDER to MAGNET MODE

Use BOTTLE CAP on LATCH

Use QUADCORDER on LATCH.

Off we go!
Act 3, Part 1: Making a Delivery
Actually, making the delivery is crazy easy! It's already done. However, something here is fishy!

Try to access the base. We don’t know the code!

We can’t do much here for now, so head left to Starducks. Take DEVICE from the dumpster.

Head inside. Take POOL CUE from wall. Get JAVA LAVA from the barista and BISCOTTI from the hippie. Chat with the folks in here.

Every so often, the waitress gets a call from the general and leaves for the base. Tail her. She won’t let you see the code!

When the waitress is NOT in the coffee shop, USE the POOL CUE on the GAP at the bottom of the counter! This puzzle can be a bit of a pixel hunt. Take the SEASONING.

Head on to the rocky area. Chat with the archaeologist here. Give him your BOOK and he leaves.

Use DUTAINUM on ROCKS.

Use BISCOTTI on DUTANIUM.

Use JAVA LAVA on DUTANIUM.

Enter CAVE.

Use ANCIOSCOPE on PAINTING. The lens doesn’t work!

Return to HIPPIE. Insult his art until he gives you ROSE-COLORED GLASSES.

Use GLASSES on ANCIOSCOPE to fix them and return to the cave.

Use ANCIOSCOPE on painting again.

Note the pattern: BLUE GREEN BLUE RED GREEN RED GREEN

Visit the rooms in this order and in each room fill your coffee cup in each room of corresponding color: 3 2 3 1 2 1 2

If you do it correctly you will get a CUP OF ENERGY

Mess around with the DEVICE in your inventory. It’s an invisibility device! The batteries are dead.

Refill the BATTERIES with ENERGY and place them back in the DEVICE.

Now you can see the code!
Wait by the door and time using the device when you see movement in the window. The timing can be a little tricky.

See the code: 1327. (not sure if this is randomized or not)

Enter the base to learn why this game is called DEATH BY A MILLION STOMPING BOOTS.
Act 3, Part 2: Saving the Universe!
Head RIGHT to the entryway and TAKE one of the COFFEE CUPS that is not quite empty.

Return to your hiding position. USE the INVISIBILITY DEVICE and quickly select the PANEL to the far left of the screen (to the left of the two scientists) to turn up the heat.

Use COFFEE on VENT.

Use INVISIBILITY again and move to the panel to the right of the scientists, by the nook.

LOOK at the empty coffee cup in your inventory for a STIRRER.

Examine PANEL. USE STIRRER as a screwdriver in the corners of the PANEL.

Your goal here is to break the panel. You will need to use a little bit of trial and error. You can lift out some of the components directly and others need to be pried out with the stirrer. LOOK at the long one and see it can be broken in half. Pry that into two bits with the stirrer as well. Put the bits back into random places until the machine starts to smoke.

Move to the BIG HALL. This area is tricky as well.

Walk LEFT around the corner and then off the LEFT edge of the balcony to the lower level. Press the control panel button here to turn on the conveyor belt.

You have two left branches here, take the one to the NORTH all the way around the corner again and wind up at the top.

Go back around the LEFT corner again to the second level. Hit the panel here to lower the boots.

Follow around the LEFT corner to get back to the bottom. Take the BOOT.

at the fork, take the north branch again to get back to the top. Drop the BOOT down the CHUTE.

Keep going LEFT to return once again to the bottom. Take the SOUTH branch out of the bottom this time to wind up on the greenish platform that’s really far away. Follow this off the screen.

Hit the Big Red Button on the control panel.

On the personal hovercraft, set the settings to: Power: 7 Boost: 5 Sensitivity: 5 Gravity: 3
