Description
A Codex "rebalance" Mod.

I hate codices, they're curvy, and digital, and they get in everywhere. I said above that this is a "rebalance" mod but i would use that term very loosely, in reality i just find Codices really annoying to fight and i wanted to make some changes to them to make them less infuriating.

WHAT IS IN THIS MOD:

  • Modified Codex Abilities.
  • A new gun for Codices.

INFO:

Codex Changes

  • Psi bomb no longer disables weapons.
  • Getting shot by the Codex now disables your weapon.
  • Codex cloning is on a 1 turn cooldown now.

Codices also now have a brand new weapon, the change however is only visual, it has the exact same stats as their normal gun. The only change is that now getting shot by the Codex will disable your weapon.

KNOWN ISSUES:

None at the moment.

COMPATIBILITY:

Codex AI has not been modified so it should work just fine with every AI mod. Any mod that adds a codex enemy that uses the same abilities used by the vanilla codex will be affected by these changes. If you're using another mod that modifies the Codex's ability then that will not be compatible with this, as in you'll either get the changes of this mod or that one, depending on mod load order.

FAQ:

Does this mod affect other Codex enemies from other mods?
If those Codex enemies use the same abilities as the vanilla Codex, yes.

You are free to use anything and everything in this mod for your own mods and/or purposes, in fact not only are you allowed, i encourage you to do it.

Great mod. Later in the campaign you get whole clusters of codexes on commander difficulty and getting spammed with reload vortexes gets old real fast.

Great changes. I like the new gun too. It was weird how a digital projection uses a normal plasma rifle.

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up, this felt so much better than vanilla.

@Charlemagne Very late, but this mod doesn't seem to change the Codex's .bIsPsionic value to false, so I'd guess yes.
