Research Rubberbanding

Description
Tired of having 1 empire be very far ahead, or you being stuck far behind everyone else?
well, git gud But also, this mod applies a research penalty to empires that are ahead of everyone else and a bonus to empires that are behind.

This penalty or bonus is based on the number of techs an empire is ahead or behind the average, not whether it has x% more techs than another empire.

The amount of techs an empire needs to be ahead or behind to get a certain penalty or bonus increases over the course of the game.

This mod only affects playable empires.

NOT achievement compatible.

Does this still work?

You could try starnet ai (assuming it works on the latest version)

Nice. Now all I need is something that will get the AI to actually make use of all the resource bonuses I give it and actually build some fleets for me to crush >:)

Meh won't hurt to try.
McAwesome  [author] 4 Aug, 2021 @ 1:05pm
I mean you can always try it, I just can't guarantee it'll work as intended
Bluetail 4 Aug, 2021 @ 10:22am
Darn, cause I notice some AI shouldnt really be falling behind in some overhaul mods.
McAwesome  [author] 4 Aug, 2021 @ 9:14am
doubt it

Think this would work for total conversion mods or would that be problem? Say Fallen Republic for examble.

Currently the mod cancels out all pop resource production modifiers.
