Hello there, people. It's me, Basya The Great. In this guide I will teach you all how to make a good funny Gmod machinima, in case you experience lags with tons of addons. Let's begin.

To make a video without any lags, you gotta get rid of the addons you don't usually use. You need to use only the CERTAIN addons that you need in your creation. In case you don't want to lose all your addons, make a collection with all the addons you had. The reason why, is because you can unsubscribe and subscribe to it again whenever you're finished with filming. It's easy and simple. You don't want to have over 100 addons used in your creation, right?

(P.S. If you wanna keep the addons you used for filming, you can create collections for them as well, topic by topic. Mario addon collection, for example)

You read the title. The performance is also the main thing you should know about before filming. What's that? You want your characters to look not crappy when lowering the graphics? It's ok, let me tell you what you gotta do:

• If necessary, you can turn off the shadows
• Set the Model Detail to Medium
• Set the Texture Detail to either Medium or High (in case you wanna use Minecraft/Super Mario 64 stuff, then set to high)
• Set the Water Detail to Simple Reflections
• DISABLE THE FUGGIN' V-SYNC. IT RUINS THE GAME EVEN MORE IF ENABLED
• Disable the Color Correction
• Shader Detail — Low
• Set the Filtering Mode to Bilinear (can maybe show some smaaaaaaaaaall pixels, but you can barely notice them)
• Disable the Motion Blur (why would anyone have it enabled?)
• Enable the Multicore Rendering
• Don't use the bloom effect
• High Dynamic Range — None
• You can just turn the Antialiasing Mode either on or off. Your choice for the best display

It's best recommended to close other applications on your PC except Gmod and the recording software you're using. In case you're making a machinima with a friend, you can either text in game or voice chat in Discord but keep the app closed (and also turn off overlay).
