Before Starting This Achievement
  • Finish the story mission "No. 1" given by Brucie

  • Progress far enough into the story until you have all islands unlocked

  • Find a vehicle you're comfortable with driving and is fairly fast
A Brief Explanation
The Genetically Superior achievement wants the player win 20 races in singleplayer, sounds easy right? Well, in order to get this achievement you have to finish 9 specific races and there are 3 races on each island. After, you can do any 11 remaining races on any island you want.

Start a race by going into your phone, go into your phonebook, select Brucie and hit race.

You need to be on a specific island to activate a race in that area. For example, if you want to do a race in Broker, you have to be in Broker. Make sure you're not close to a starting line when phoning Brucie, he will tell you there are no races available.

I was able to start 8/9 races fairly easily but I ran into a problem with 1 race in Alderney. There is a race that takes place in North Alderney and when you phone Brucie, he'll keep telling you there are no races available and try again later if you're not in a certain location. I had to drive to the abandoned casino, give Brucie a call then it finally activated the race.
Lets Start Racing!
Below are the locations, layouts and number of laps for each race. Remember to be somewhere on the island to start the race or Brucie will tell you there are no races available. Winning a race will give you $500 and likeness for Brucie.

Recommended Cars and Locations
In order to win these races, you should find a vehicle you're comfortable with driving and is fairly fast. You can use any vehicle you like except for helicopters, boats and emergency vehicles.I used 2 cars while doing this achievement. I used a Infernus and a Turismo. Most sport cars will do the trick. The Sultan RS is one of the fastest cars in the game. If you're doing Stevie's car retrieval missions, you can just steal the car he wants you to deliver and just not deliver it and it will respawn. Its useful if you want to quickly find an Infernus or any type of car.

in 30h of gameplay i just saw one sultan driving around on a road at night all alone in south of the most left island while i was racing in one of brucies races and it shocked me because i dont think i ever saw it on the road before and its amazing that it was like on the edge of the map just driving around. and i was not in a siltan myself, in turismo one and never have ever been in sultan car yet.

Edit - I just got a text from him saying I won all the races. I'm guessing now I can contact him. I'll leave these here just in case it helps someone else.

Not sure the deal. I've finished the 9 races, but every time I call Brucie he tells me there is nothing available now. I've tried all 3 islands. I've tried saving and reloading. nothing. I guess maybe just wait a few days in game?

ColeTrainxx, I didn't really need to use it. But there is a "no traffic and no peds" mod that you can use. I tried it for a bit. It eliminates everything except what is required for the races or other missions. Meaning, the only cars that spawn are for the race you enter.

And if you are doing a mission that requires driving, the only traffic that appears are the enemy cars, and the scripted "innocent" drivers that are meant to get in your way.

It's kinda fun. And your FPS goes to a gazillion! LOL

I was able to win the races quite easily since I stocked up on good cars at all my safehouses. The Turismo is the best IMHO. It accelerates quickly around turns and is very stable. In almost every race, the opponents were so slow I was lapping them near the end.

Didn't really like the Sultan RS for this. It has poor acceleration at low speeds. And there is a lot of slow cornering and tight turns in all the races. So you kinda need it to get up and go. That's why I kept using the Turismo.

So I had 6 Turismos, 1 Comet, and 1 Infernus parked at my safehouses. I would go to Pay n Spray after each race to repair, but wasn't worried about totalling a car because I could always grab another one of my spares parked around.

Less traffic would help a lot. I hated getting cut off.

Oh and turn "Vehicle density" in graphics options to 1. You won't be bothered by trafic so much then, streets will be almost empty

You don't really need any fancy car for those races, they are super easy due to the high ammount of laps you need to finish. I succesfuly won race against Sabre GTs while driving Moonbeam and I got my 1st place shortly after start and kept that place to the end. The only difference is that in slower car you'll need more time to finish whole race.

For Easy Win, shoot out TIRES of competition cars.
