Amputator is a Medic bonesaw (omg thx kapdain obfioos), which on taunt heals allies, has +3 health regen and deals less damage.

And this health regen attribute has mistaken a lot of people.

People thought that its "pasif ant hils u effryteim"

Ok.

Let me explain this once and for all:

THE ATTRIBUTE IS ACTIVE, THAT MEANS YOU GET THE HEALTH REGEN ONLY WHEN YOU ARE HOLDING THIS. It even says so on the stats screen.

@Rainbow Dash the -25% damage penalty means you hit 49 rather than 65. What is the biggest danger to meds up close? Scouts and spies, both have 125 health. So, amuputator takes an extra swing to kill them, so the downside is pretty awful.

The bonesaw is dangerous enough that 10% less damage doesn't make too much of a difference and the regen has saved my life numerous times.Just having it out means afterburn does nothing,you have a slight advantage in melee fights and you have a way to heal yourself in a pinch.Why not have it?

amputator is great, my favorite thing to do is play medic with it and hide in the corner and suck my thumb whenever it gets too dangerous. The damage is certainly not amazing, but 2-3 swings can take out a player most of the time.
