Please let me know if you find anything inaccurate, the evolution to Orion: Prelude changed all kinds of things.

Orion: Prelude has some undocumented uses for your controls. In this guide you'll learn how to dodge dinosaur attacks, fire explosive arrows with the bow, do sword combos, powerslide with vehicles and many more things.

Controls are described as 'function' (Key). Left and right mouse buttons (or Mouse 1 and Mouse 2) are shortened to LMB and RMB.

Once you've got the power jump augmentation, hold 'jump' (Space) to do a power jump.

Hold 'crouch' (C) + a direction key (W, A, S, D) to do a roll. This maneuver can move you away from most dangers, including charging dinosaurs, flying rocks and sharp teeth.

Cycle between first and third person camera with F1 key.

With the TREK Longbow equipped, press 'reload' (R) to cycle between arrow types: piercing, explossive, EMP or smoke. Special arrows are limited, but refill over time.

You can perform a whole set of moves with the Ion Blade.

Combo Attacks:

With the Gatling Gun in your hands, hold RMB to keep the barrel spinning when you are not firing.

You can pick weapons with number keys. '1' is for adrenaline and primary weapons, '2' for secondaries, '3' for sidearms and '4' for your item. You can push the according number a second time if you're carrying two weapons of a kind. Certain augmentations make this possible.

All players have a teleporting device available with '5' key. Stand still and hold LMB to use it. The teleporter will always return you to your active base or outpost.

You can drop your equipped weapon with 'L' and money with 'K' key. Pistols can not be dropped to make sure you're never empty-handed. Bots don't pick up money and weapons.

In stores you can buy any item by double-clicking its tile. It's not necessary to hit the purchase button.

Note: The popular quick reload trick has been removed from the game

You can switch between two control modes in the gameplay options: Strafe steer (steer with A and D keys) or mouse steer (follow the crosshair).

Some vehicles have a turbo that makes them go faster. Hold 'sprint' (Shift) to start it. The Mech also walks faster when sprinting.

Hold 'jump' (Space) to make vehicles powerslide.

In some vehicles you can hold RMB to watch from first person view. The ability key (Ctrl) cycles between cockpit and rear view camera. This works for the hoverbike and the two buggies only.

In vehicles with multiple seats you can use number keys to go to specific seats. The 'crouch' key (C) cycles between seats, which is important for passengers because of...

Passengers can change between their weapons with number keys. And of course fire weapons with LMB.

The Mech can stomp with the ability key (Ctrl), a force that kills small dinosaurs on the spot.

Use 'jump' (Space) to ascend and 'crouch' (C) to descend. The ability key (Ctrl) retracts the landing gear, allowing for higher speed.

In Rampage game mode you can control every dinosaur in the game. There are different classes of dinosaurs with different attacks, therefore controls are a bit different for each of them.

All dinosaurs move faster with 'sprint' (Shift). Some dinosaurs charge forward when sprinting, hitting anything that stands in their way.

Keys like 'use' (E) and 'ability' (Ctrl) make dinosaurs roar, scream or shriek.

)* Hold down right mouse button to launch this attack.
)** Point at a target and hold right mouse button. You will glide towards your target and grab it from the ground. Grabbed targets slowly take damage and dropping them from great height kann kill them.

While you're in a game, you can cast a vote to change the map, game mode or difficulty or to kick a player. Open the chat prompt with 'chat' (T) or 'team chat' (Y) and enter one of the following:

• !votemap
  
• !votemode
  
• !votedifficulty
  
• !votekick

Press 'N' key to change your player class while playing. You'll respawn as the selected class at the next opportunity (which is mostly after you've died).

Depending on your keyboard layout you can open the console with ~ or ' or Ö key (or the key right from L). Close it with the same key. Commands are not case sensitive. There are a lot of commands available, below is a list of the most useful ones.


Cheat commands are disabled for obvious reasons.

Controllers are by default using the below control scheme.
