Description
Echo 1947 is a collection of semi-fictional designs set in the dawn of the jet age. Craft may be named after their real world inspirations, but they are not meant to be replicas.

Attention is given to look, flight performance and low part count. A list of WIP/considered projects can be seen on my main collection.

They do not require any mod, but MouseAimFlight mod[forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com] is highly recommended for flying these craft.

Echo '47 - Pancake Airframe [stock, does NOT fly]
Created by Juggernoob
THIS CRAFT DOES NOT FLY! This is the no-DLC but non-flyable version of the Pancake, in case you don't have Breaking Ground but want the airframe, eg. to fit it with mod propellers or just to take a closer look. Remove small nosecone to add your own propell...
Echo '47 - Scorpion
Created by Juggernoob
One of the icons of the 1950s. This started as a simple prop for my flying saucer chasing scene. After some test flights and some internet research, I started to like this plane and decided to give it some care. Now it’s pretty satisfying to fly and has co...

Echo '47 - Thunderwarrior SSTO

Diverted from a Mach 4 interceptor project, the Thunderwarrior is an experimental spaceplane using early TRCC (Turbo Rocket Combined Cycle) propulsion system. The original weapon bay is replaced by a crew cabin for 2 research personnel and an airlock/docki...
Echo '47 - Goblin (with firework guns)
Created by Juggernoob
The Goblin is a compact parasite fighter to be carried by heavy bombers as escort. It's designed to be launched and retrieved mid-flight through a docking mechanism, however this is proved to be too difficult and risky to be practical. Pure stock, no mods,...
Echo '47 - Starjet (w/ firework guns)
Created by Juggernoob
What if this became America's first jet? This craft is based on the Lockheed L-133 "Starjet". Way ahead of its time (1942), it's a much more interesting aircraft than the later P-80 (which would reuse its main wings design), let alone the meh P-59. Pure st...
