Introduction
Welcome to the Iron Conflict Beta Guide!

The Iron Conflict Beta will only be available for a limited amount of time, so we prepared this guide for you to help maximize the time you spend actually playing the game.

This section of the guide will walk you through the steps of acquiring units. Without further ado, let's get started!
Researching Units
When you first get into the game, you'll notice that your garage is completely empty.

This is because you don't own any units yet. To acquire units, you'll first need to find the TECH TREE tab at the top of the screen.

This will open up a window containing all of the units in the game, grouped by faction:

And unit type:

Currently, you won’t find any units in the Mountain or Grassland factions. You’ll only find units in the Desert and Urban factions. This is because our development team has been hard at work balancing the units that are in the game right now. Later during the Early Access period, we’ll be adding units to the other two factions.

In your tech tree, you’ll see that Tier I units are available:

Tier II and later units are grayed out because you can’t research those units yet. First, you’ll need to use EXP to research the lower tier unit and research all its modules before the units in the next tier will be available for research.

To research a unit, just click the green button below the unit’s icon. This shows the amount of EXP required to research this unit. Before that, though, let’s mouse over the unit’s icon to see details about it:

This pop-up panel will tell you the unit’s name, what type of unit it is, how much it costs, and its stats. You’ll see that the above unit is a medium tank. Medium tanks provide a good balance of mobility and firepower, at the expense of being vulnerable against heavier tanks and aircraft. It’s very important to understand what kind of unit you’re unlocking before you research and buy it. This panel will give you a good idea whether this specific unit is suitable for your playstyle and your team’s needs.

Once you’ve decided you want to research a unit, just click the green button below the unit’s picture in the Tech Tree. This will spend EXP you’ve earned in battle to research the unit.
Acquiring Units
Now that you've researched the unit, the button will turn orange:

This is the amount of Silver required to purchase this unit. You’ll see this Type58 tank requires 2805 Silver to unlock. Silver is earned through battle and by converting gold to silver. For the purposes of the beta, players have been given Gold, Silver, and EXP to research, puchase, and upgrade units.

Click the orange button to use Silver to purchase the unit. Once you've done that, you'll find it listed in your garage on the main menu. You'll also see it in the center of your screen:
